Pawperty Damage - Vapour and Mechamaw
🕑 Added 2023-11-26 11:07:13 +0000 UTCOutside of drawing I've been working on trying to make models of my characters. I planned to upload a few renders of them but never quite got around to it. Mechamaw was actually made a few years ago in Blender 2.8 - i then updated that model slightly optimising her for running in Unity.
Those mechaboots of hers make absolutely short work of buildings!
Vapour on the other hand, I made at the beginning of this year with what was now a lot more knowledge of how Blender works. Where Mechamaw was all hard modelling, Vapour was created with a sculpting workflow at a very high resolution then retopologised down to something that game engines can handle. 
Who's idea was it to build so close to the ocean again?
Now that Darelooks has released the long awaited Pawperty Damage 1.3 version, people can now import their own VRM models into the game and it works absolutely wonderfully! Both characters are very fun to stomp around as. Vap's tail is just ridiculous and it's delightful to see it flopping around. Mechamaw just has the most ridiculous of kicks with those gigantic boots of hers.
As such, I've released these two on steam but marked them as unlisted. Meaning if you own the steam version of the game you're able to just click the subscribe button and you'll get to stomp about as these two sods!

You will obviously need a copy of the game to be able to play around with these! This can obtained from steam, which due to the Steam sale, is even cheaper than it normally is!

It's not just about creating them for Pawperty Damage, having models of them is genuinely a fun thing to have, even if not here. So yes I'll almost certainly make more models of my cast!

Do you think you'll make models of any of your other characters or do you think that they wouldn't fit the setting?

I think those two might be a bit bigger than 270 feet by the end there haha! Still, that's amazing and awesome stuff there!
