Aaaand there's Margot!!
I am extremely pleased with her design. I'm trying to capture that whole "MySpace scene kid aspiring to be a Suicide Girl who seamlessly transformed into a lookbook dot nu/blogger dot com hip girl" vibe of 2008-2009. Which is why Margot of course has a gen 1 iPhone here (and her glasses don't have any lenses in them).
This Margot is named after Margot & the Nuclear So-Sos because that is a band I always associated with those blogger dot com girlies. I started listening to them for the first time as I was working on these pages and was FLABBERGASTED to realize the frontperson of that band ISN'T EVEN NAMED MARGOT. HIS NAME IS RICHARD OR SOMETHING. THERE'S NO MARGOT. IT'S A WES ANDERSON REFERENCE

That's such a good question! He absolutely does not. 😌 Well, not a physical type anyway! He is super attracted to confidence -- that's the only thing all the people he's ever had crushes on have in common, bahaha!
