I won't bore you folks with the mundane research I was doing on Illinois and Chicago's drunk driving laws (for the record, their legal BAC is pretty dang low already but AGAIN, CREATIVE LIBERTIES) so I will just say this volunteer's shirt is a visual pun on MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the predominant anti-drunk driving organization stateside). In my brain here, it's Parents Against Drunk Driving, heh!
To my international readers, I'm so sorry these pages have been visually and narratively very U.S.-context dependent! We'll be easing up on the cultural touchstones soon.
(also, as an aside, that first panel of Denver is probably my favorite Denver of the series so far)

Hahaha, yes! I find activists who do signature collecting work over here have to be really assertive to get folks to stop and give them the time of day, so I don't blame her here! ๐ I was trying to use every tool in my arsenal to make her seem warm and friendly since establishing her back on Page 87, but maybe it wasn't enough ๐
