I'm sure you can guess that The News recently has been really rough for me. I'm sure you folks don't want to be thinking about it, here, on a Patreon for queer art and comics. This should be a space for you to escape all that for a bit. That's how I'd want to use Patreon for, at least.
Unfortunately, the reality is I'm a trans creator whose personhood is about to end at state lines once the next president takes office, and it's greatly affecting my mental state.
I've been trying to channel that energy into defiance, to be myself boldly and unapologetically and --that's sort of been working, but I'm also scared. Haha! I'm a mess.
WELL enough of that, in other news Keeping Time has been swimming along wonderfully over at the main site. There were a record 40+ users online at once last week (the comment app I use, Hyvor Talk, allows me to see that stat in real time). I'm really excited that folks are checking it out.
If you've been reading on Patreon, I would also recommend you check out and re-read some pages, from about the start of Denver's Then when he comes home to his apartment, because some of these pages got important rewrites. It was actually me going back and editing some of the dialogue to what I had originally, but chickened out of before posting these pages here on Patreon back in May/June.

Also, I want to encourage everybody to register as users on the Keeping Time main site and leave me some comments so I can give you silly badges!! I've been pulling the badge titles from the content of the comments folks leave me, and we're building up a fun menagerie over there:
Finally, I hoped I would have some new pages on time for you folks. That's... not happening. I've been trying to work in smaller batches of pages, BUT the next set of pages are some of the hardest pages I've ever done, from a technical standpoint, and it made the most sense to tackle them all at once, so it's been really slow-going. So I'm currently cooking 10 pages (AUGH), and I'm halfway done with the inks for them.
I might start flatting and coloring these first 5, just to get you folks some pages sooner, but there's a chance I might just go ham and take all 10 to inked completion. If it ends up being the latter, I apologize about the delay in pages for my Latte and Espresso tier patrons! Thanks for your patience as I struggle my way through them.
As always, your folks' financial support means so, so much to me. It's been helping me keep afloat as my cats have had a bunch of medical emergencies this past fall. (You all know about Radioactive Cat, but my other cat decided to become Temporarily Diabetic Cat - a long, costly story.)
Anyway, I promise the new pages will be worth the wait, because these pages kick off the longest sustained Denver/Daniel interaction of the comic thus far. FINALLY. JESUS.

Your health, saftey, and happiness are all more important than the money spent to get access to the espresso tier - the reason I donate every month is because I believe in you, and want to support you no matter what! We believe in you, and I believe that we will weather this storm together. I'm also trans, and though I'm in Canada, we feel it deeply here as well. Take your time, everyone involved (including yourself!) will be happier for it. All I can say about the politics is that we as a community have survived so much worse, so whatever happens, we will survive that too, no matter how hard it becomes. Looking forward to our favourite two losers interacting 👀
