Mercifully, a halfhearted survey revealed no dead body.

Five minutes later, she’d traversed all the way back to a disconnected strip of beach far away from the main strip of Cruiser Cliffs. Guess I better beach it, Coral shrugged.

Coral sighed and bent at the waist as she placed the front tip of the boat into the sand. A little shove, and the thing began to tilt parallel to the earth once more. Right before it could crash down and probably do some sort of structural damage, Coral disappeared from the standing position at the bow and reappeared at the stern. With a single outstretched leg, she delicately caught the fragile machinery with the bridge of her right foot, then set it down slowly.
The beach patrol or coast guard or whatever could come pick it up when the tides calmed down.
Satisfied with her second good deed for the day (fucking the boy’s brains out, she considered her first), Coral climbed up the jagged rocky cliffs with some easy leaping. She tap danced over each rock, landing on it with one leg and pushing off like some sort of superhuman parkour performance. Soon, she was back on paved road, albeit fairly far out of the way.
Two minutes and a gust of wind later, she gave an idle Alysha a tap on the shoulder. When her brunette friend turned her head, Coral vanished and reappeared at her front.

“Oh my god!” Alysha gasped. Her paper coffee cup flew into the air.

“So how much coffee do you drink a day?” Coral asked.
“Three or four.”
Coral inhaled deeply, tasting the dark, roasty aromas with her enhanced senses. “Smells good.”
“You’re weird, you know that?” Alysha said.
“Bad weird?”
“Hokey weird. I’m willing to see how this plays out,” Alysha exuded confidence, but Coral could hear the girl’s heart beating rapidly. She was cool as a cucumber on the outside though! “Hey, what do you do anyway?”
“Me? I’m starting college soon,” Coral stated. She didn’t want to tell her new friend what an financial empire she was born into.

“Oh my god!” Alysha gasped as Coral shot off like a rocket, and was suddenly riding the inside of a wave like a pro! She’d never even seen pro surfers move like that!

“This is the weirdest date I’ve ever been on,” Alysha admitted.
“Bad weird?”
“It’s alright. Wouldn’t turn down another,” Alysha looked up into Coral’s mesmerizing blue eyes. She was caught like a deer in headlights. “Oh em ell, your eyes are so pretty...”
