“Cold!” An exhausted, resting Joseph yelled from inside the changing room. He scrambled to his feet as the frozen air seeped under the doorway.

“Y-yeah! It was just.. Did you feel that?” Joseph asked, teeth chattering.
Coral blurred and was fully dressed in her pink bikini and suave leather jacket a second later. “Feel what?”
“Uh... nothing. I must be dreaming...”
When no reply came back, he opened the door a tiny crack and peeked out. It was even colder out in the hallway! And worst of all... the best fuck of his life had vanished. Shit! He hadn’t gotten her number! Would he ever see her again?

Coral swiped the ice off of her diamond hard nipples, shuddering at her own forceful touch. At superspeed, she peered along the semi-busy strip of beach. She could probably finger herself in public and people would probably only catch a few “frames” of her diddling herself but...

But Coral didn’t give them much of a show. Well, not the modeling kind, anyway. Without pausing her superhuman sprint at all, Coral pushed off of the edge of the beach’s wet, hard sand with just the tips of her toes and performed a flying leap that would make a dolphin envious. She thrust her toned arms in front of her, tucked in her head, her long, long legs trailing behind her, her entire body elegantly muscled and her form unrivaled, as she dove headfirst into the ocean’s waves, a dozen feet from where she’d taken off.
With nary a splash, Coral disappeared into the waves.
She knew how to swim, and swim well even, but never had she felt so at ease in the dark, murky depths! Without a second thought, Coral tucked her arms by her sides and propelled herself with her flight powers alone. It was as easy as gliding through the air. The water provided no resistance at all. The hardest thing about her travel was trying to stop her muscle memory from knifing her legs through the ocean’s depths.
She turned on her back and “reclined,” peering up all the way through the ocean’s surface and into the bright noon sky. The salty brine didn’t bother her naked eyes at all. And suddenly she realized with a panic: she wasn’t breathing!
Coral gagged and choked as she flung her hands up to her throat. Was she going to die down here!? The water rushed into her open mouth. She tasted the salty depths... it reminded her a little bit like the caviar she so liked to eat. Still, afraid of drowning, Coral closed her mouth and expelled out the water—a feat that should have been impossible at that depth.
In fact, her little underwater exhale fired the unwelcome water like a spear! The force of her breath created a deadly missile that traveled into the ocean’s depths so violently, it created a backdraft. Coral felt the force of her effortless blow suck her blonde locks forward before they settled back down into picture perfect position.
Wait... she’d just blown water... underwater? How much air was in her lungs!?
She wasn’t breathing. Her lungs weren’t burning. She just “stood” there at a random angle to the earth’s ocean floor, waiting to feel a sensation, any sensation, of burning in her chest.
There was nothing.
Experimentally, she blew once more. Softly this time. And cold. The water around her gorgeous mouth began to crackle and freeze immediately. The cold she so easily blew was so intense that the ocean began to crystallize, radiating outward like a chaotic kaleidoscope. Coral continued to blow, the chilling temperature of her breath flowing endlessly. When she suspected that she would never run out of air, she finally closed her lips and smirked.
Of course, by then, she was completely encased in ice. The twitch of her lips was far more powerful than the ocean and ice’s combined pressure, and she sent deep cracks through the majestic structure, shattering it into a few large chunks.
Still, the residual cold continued to travel outward. A twitch of Coral’s leg broke another huge fragment of ice, and she sat there with her legs crossed as she enjoyed how her every small, casual movement broke the rules of nature... and nature itself, literally!
But that wasn’t the end of it. Her breath had been so icy cold that the fragments of ice that floated into the depths of the water were actively freezing all of the ocean around it. And fast, too. Not wanting to cause some sort of ecological disaster, Coral focused her eyes and fired a weak, blue beam. It wouldn’t do to boil the ocean after turning it to absolute zero, after all.
The ocean turned to steam around her eyes, but again, it had no effect on Coral’s vision. The water boiled and bubbled furiously as she swept her weak lasers in a sphere all around her, creating a pocket of steam as the ice turned from solid to liquid once again. When she was satisfied that all of the ice had melted, she finally cut back on her endless power.
Another thought struck Coral now. And it terrified her even more than the earlier (and frankly, ridiculous) fear of suffocating.
Was she even human?
Who ever heard of a human being able to do half of the things she was capable of? And so easily, too! If Coral really cut loose with these crazy powers, what would that look like? It was a good thing she didn’t have grandiose dreams of like... robbing a bank or something!
No, that was stupid. Her daddy and Paris had always provided her with whatever money could buy.
Boys? Well, in her one and a half day of superpowered experience, she was batting 1000.
Besides, was there anyone on earth who looked as good as her?! Coral thought immodestly. Breasts this large, this firm, and this sensitive, Coral moaned. Her vibrations echoed through the ocean powerfully like that of a sea mammal. Legs this long. Eyes this shimmering, hands this powerful... and every boy whom she’d lain, she’d turned them into a bubbling wreck within a minute. With her impossible powers backing her up, Coral couldn’t help but let these immodest thoughts bubble to the surface.
And as far as bubbling to the surface went, memories of her biological mother came back to the forefront.
Running from her fears, Coral continued to fly deeper into the ocean trench. And in the distance, above an enormous jagged crevasse that she could probably explore for weeks, she encountered a... a whale!
Coral flew right to its side and petted its blubbery hide. Her fingers swept off some barnacles that would have cut anyone else’s flesh. Not that anyone would be at these depths completely unaided, having not drawn a breath for at least ten minutes. If it noticed her, it didn’t react.
Doing her best impersonation of a fairy tale princess, Coral began to talk to her 20 ton friend.
“Why did Mom... I mean, Freya, give me this necklace?” she spoke melancholically with a wrinkled crease on her otherwise perfect brow. “She left so suddenly... I really thought she was gone forever.”
The whale continued to lumber along. Coral floated by its side.
“I heard that woman and Dad fighting when we were in Australia on a trip. A family trip! And then they leave together, and... only Dad comes back. How can he still be so at peace with her!? I saw how broken he was for months!”
It was a good thing Coral wasn’t standing on solid earth. She gave the ocean a little “stamp” like one of her youthful tantrums. The forceful motion shunted into the canyon below and caused the earth to tremble.
“And neither Dad or Candace will say anything to me about it! I’m nineteen now, for crying out loud!”
The whale sang its whale song as the ocean floor began to tremble.
“Oh hell.”
Coral flew down into the canyon and shoved her arms into the stone. It crumbled away as she easily pulverized it with her pretty little fists, scooping chunks of rock away with her splayed fingers in order to get a handhold. And then, to secure the earth to her arms and prevent its violent shuddering from breaking apart against her improvised grip, she puckered her pink lips and froze the little sockets solid, encasing the area around her forearms and hands with thick ice. But not nearly as cold as before when she thought she’d threatened to freeze the whole ocean solid!
With the earth now secured around her limbs, Coral held on and absorbed the vibrating earth, calming it back to relative stillness in her grasp.
Then, she pulled her hands out effortlessly and cracked the ice into little pieces.
“Now, where was I?” Coral flew back to her marine buddy.
“At least I have Paris. She’s my new Mom, and a good one. Not like Freya,” Coral spat underwater with venom. “But Candace didn’t accept her at all! I think Paris is still sad about it. Imagine that! If I thought Freya leaving was bad, how bad was it for big sis if she reacts like this?”
“I wonder... why didn’t Candy get a necklace like mine? Karma, I guess!” Coral snickered. “She’s always so buried in her books anyway. She wouldn’t know what to do with a body like mine that happens to have powers like this,” Coral pinched her nipples hard enough to turn coal into diamond... and then harder still to crumble diamonds to dust.
“Still, if I ever want to know what happened, I’ll have to talk to... someone.”
Coral twirled around in every which way as she kept pace with her whale friend. She thought about consulting Dad, but he always told her the same story. That Paris was a real mother to her, but she shouldn’t be upset at her birth mom either. That Candace and Coral were born of love, and that was what was most important. It was a totally nonsensical story that she loved listening Father tell when she was five. But now she was an adult! With powers that could literally change the world!
How long would he recite this story to her? Swan maiden, blah blah. A play on Freya’s last name, a fairy tale romance, and then... children. It was pathetic. Like telling children that the stork delivered them to their parents after they placed an overnight delivery.
She considered Candace. Then unconsidered it. Nope nope nope. Her big sister was so quiet... and that facade concealed her internal, bottled up rage whenever Coral tried to mention the subject. What was Freya like? Her own memories weren’t so clear. Freya was consistently absent for long periods of time.
And how was she supposed to show her powers to Candace anyway? “Hey big sis, look at me, I’m a literal fucking superhero and nobody can stop me from doing whatever I want oh sorry our Mommy Dearest didn’t give you a necklace that made you into a living goddess whoopsie!! I guess it’s just another bullet point on her list of negligences ha ha ha!” No way.
So that left... Paris. How much did Paris know anyway? She was so supportive. And not the saccharine “I better go along with my rich husband’s wishes so I can inherit his wealth when he dies.” Paris was genuine, warm, always listening and showing concern, yet instilling discipline whenever Coral acted out. It hadn’t gone so well with Candace, but Coral had defended Paris to her big sister. Which only earned her further scorn.
Paris it was, then.
“Thanks, whaley. You’re the best!” Coral gave it a nice tap with her open palm on its fatty skin. It was a good thing that it weighed 20 tons. It absorbed the impact... reasonably.
“Bye now!” Coral soared off, back out of the murky depths and toward open air. She felt a surge of confidence. Of resolve. Maybe Paris would give her the answers and closure she so desperately needed.
She began to tremble at the thought. What if the answer wasn’t so great?
Maybe some more power play was in order.
