“Talking”

I know it’s Nightmare Mode, but don’t you think this is a bit too much, damn game?!
Gray felt exhausted - and not from the battle he had just gotten out of, because he had eaten a Senzu Bean just a moment earlier - as he stared at Garou with lidded eyes, his eyes taking in the mans character sheet.
[Talented] Garou:

TMP: ?
[Talented Modifier] - Individuals with this modifier will be naturally talented, learning and adapting quicker than usual.
Like, seriously! I already lost to Boros, had my training arc, and then came back to kick his ass! This mission is wrapped up! Just let me fuckin’ leave!
But, even as Garou stood there, looking less like a man and more like an omniscient god, he still wasn’t the person Gray was most concerned about.
If it was just him, even with this power boost, we could chug Senzu Beans and jump his ass.
It definitely wasn’t a fool-proof plan, but if Garou were truly the only giga-power-boosted threat to arrive on Harro, then the situation wouldn’t have been dire. Gray could still utilize his Kaio-Ken x20, even if his tail had annoyingly not grown back from eating a Senzu Bean and thus his Ozaru form was out the window, and he had both Saitama and Blast with him. They were also on a planet entirely full of heroes, even if they probably wouldn’t be much help. No matter how powerful Garou had become, even he couldn’t control a scenario like this.
But this fucker is here too?!
[Arrogant] Boros:
[Servant of God]
Age: 157

[Arrogant Modifier] - Individuals with this modifier will be naturally arrogant, believing that they are better than others.
Just moments after Garou landed dramatically on top of a literal meteor, Boros came following in a massive, blinding streak of light. The alien looked much different than before, as he shared a bit of Garou’s ‘space’ aesthetic. The alien’s body was the same muscular shape as his Meteoric Burst form, but his white and pink skin had been replaced with the dark, deep, pitch-black void. It was as if someone had warped space into two figures - one created solely for martial arts, and the other to wreck havoc.
I’ve had more action here than all of the rest of my time in this world combined! Just let me fuckin’ leave already, damn game!
Sufficient to say, Gray was not happy with this turn of events. He felt like his time on this mission had finally come to a close - he had gained new friends and allies, eaten fruits from the Tree of Might, faced defeat at Boros’ hand, lost a comrade, trained with King Kai, achieved a new transformation, and then come back to defeat the alien who had humiliated him. The S-Class mission had gone full circle, and with Monas’ destruction as the climactic ending, he felt like he had suffered and triumphed enough on this mission.
But this was Nightmare Mode. Just when Gray thought it was finally over, the difficulty had to increase even more.
“Oh, it’s him,” Saitama raised his hand to Gray’s side, looking rather unconcerned as he just pointed at Garou, and then over to Boros, “And him.”
“Yeah, they’re both still alive,” Gray grunted bluntly, glancing sideways over at Saitama and Blast, “You see the problem with that, right?”
“Yup. I probably would’ve died from the planet exploding,” Saitama nodded sagely, just causing Gray to look at him dryly at the ‘probably,’ but the bald man then tilted his head curiously at Garou and Boros, “So, do we have to beat them up again?”
“What else would we do?” Gray simply grunted, glancing back at Sitch, “Get away from here, and order everyone in the area to evacuate.”
“G-Got it!”
Though, unless they evacuate from the entire planet, I doubt they’ll be safe.
Monas had been completely destroyed during the fight, turning into an apocalyptic wasteland of spouting lava streams, and that was before Garou and Boros got a sudden power-up from ‘god.’
Now, I don’t even know what they’re capable of.
But Gray was about to find out. As Sitch turned and ran away from the scene, heading into the Hero Association’s headquarters in a hurry, the empty area in front of the headquarters became silent for a moment. The trio of Gray, Saitama, and Blast stood across from the silent, wordless duo of Garou and Boros. Whether it was because of the transformation, or because they simply had nothing to say, Gray wasn’t sure - but the silence sure as hell made the air tense.
Then, it was broken in an instant. And, in that instant, Gray’s head was wracked with pain.
-109,825,700 HP! (192,429,845/302,255,545)
Boros moved - standing still one moment, his featureless face staring directly at Gray, and then suddenly, he was in front of him with his arm cocked back. His fist blasted forward, tearing through the air and causing a tunnel of wind to swirl around his arm. Then, his fist smashed into Gray’s face.
And, for the first time in a while, Gray was one whose nose exploded in a fountain of blood. His head snapped backward, and he was sent launching backward at speeds even he wasn’t used to - slamming through the front of the Hero Association, then the back, and then tumbling head over heels through the air.
Fuck! I didn’t even see him mo-
Before Gray could finish his pained thoughts, a fist slammed down on him from above as he was mid-stabilizing,
-95,120,920 HP! (97,308,925/302,255,545)
Gray’s body was sent crashing downward, slamming into the rocky clearing behind the Hero Association, which was mainly used for training purposes, and promptly turned it into a massive crater. A burst of wind shot outward as the ground around him spiderwebbed, splitting open a few small ravines as the wind shattered even the reinforced windows of the Hero Association Headquarters.
Fuck!
Gray’s teeth gritted together even as blood flooded into his mouth, and he slammed front-first into the ground. His body felt sore all over immediately, and there was a bruise forming on both his face and his torso. But, he knew he didn’t have much time to wallow in the pain, and quickly shoved himself upwards, ignoring how even his arms felt sore from being thrown into the planet so fast.
Gray was only standing for a second before he lunged to the side, barely avoiding a punch aimed at the top of his head. Boros’ fist made contact with the center of the crater, only shoving it deeper into the planet as rocks were sent flying upward from the force. As the force of Boros’ punch reverberated throughout the planet, the impact alone rattled Gray’s ears, and he felt the shockwave rippling through his bones.
Gray grunted, his body swaying slightly as he forced himself to stay upright, only for Boros’ leg to whip upward and smash into his ribs before he could even blink.
-89,250,170 HP! (8,058,755/302,255,545)
WARNING: You have fallen below 10% HP!
If your HP reaches 0, you will die!
The world blurred sideways, and Gray’s body bent awkwardly around the alien’s kick before his entire frame launched upward like a rocket. Blood flew from his mouth midair, spinning uncontrollably until he was about to slam into another portion of the city surrounding the Hero Association, but was saved by a portal appearing behind him.
He came out far in the air, Blast grunting as he barely managed to catch Gray’s body and not go flying with it, but he managed to stabilize him.
FUCK! I almost died!
Gray’s eyes were wide as he huffed, his mouth filled with the iron taste of blood, and his body groaning from pain. Gray had been defeated a fair share of times in this incredibly deadly world, but this was the first time that it had happened so quickly. In just three blows - and in such quick succession that Gray couldn’t even utilize the Kaio-Ken technique - Gray’s HP had plummeted to near-death.
Fuck… fuck!
Gray’s body felt heavy, and he slouched over slightly as he was sure he had more than a bit of internal bleeding right now, but he still nodded gratefully to Blast as he was stopped, grunting as he gingerly touched his sore stomach.
This fucker is way too fast. You’re doing this shit to me again, damn game?!
Gray felt a lot of things right now - pain, as the planet-shaking blows did more than a bit of damage to his body. Exhaustion, from being put in what seemed to be another hopeless situation. Anger, at the fact that after training so hard, he was once again on the back foot.
But, most of all, he was annoyed. Unbelievably annoyed. Annoyed at Nightmare Mode, for not letting this mission end, as Boros just seemed to never truly die. Annoyed at Boros for refusing to stay down. Annoyed at ‘god’ for getting in his way again, and sending what seemed to be Gray’s assured death at him.
But, most of all, he was simply annoyed - not at anyone in particular, but just at everything.
I already got my fucking ass beat, alright?! Once wasn’t enough?! I fucking lost! I said I would never lose again, and then I fuckin’ lost! That wasn’t enough for you, fucking world?!
Gray thought that his defeat at Boros’ hands roughly a month ago was enough defeats to last him a lifetime, and yet, now, not even a month later, he couldn’t even track Boros’ movements. Not only was he about to lose again - but he was about to lose to Boros again.
As fuckin’ if. I don’t care what I have to do - I’m not losing to this fucker again!
Gray’s hand rose, tapping into his store quickly, as Blast spoke.
“We both need to take this one,” Blast said bluntly, glancing down at Boros, who was casually standing far below in the center of the massive crater, “Caped Baldy will handle the other one. He’s strong, but this one is a whole different level! If he’s not dealt with now, Harro won’t be the only planet at risk. The whole universe could become unraveled!”
A universal threat?
But, right now, Gray didn’t care if Boros was a planetary, solar system, galaxy-wide, or even universe-threatening foe. Right now, he just wanted to beat the alien’s ass.
“Fuck off. I’ll handle him,” Gray just spat out rather unceremoniously, being a bit harsh as the world was still spinning around him as blood flowed down his chin, “I’ll kill this fucker.”
Not again. You’re not winning again, bastard.
“Are you insane?! You can barely even speak right now! Even us two working together will probably only be enough to stall him, but it’s the best solution right-” Blast paused, blinking as Gray raised his hand towards his mouth.
“I’ll handle him,” Gray said bluntly, his lips curving into a grin as he held up his hand to Blast - revealing that it was filled with Senzu Beans. The pile was so large that even his massive hand could barely contain them all.
“The healing bean?” Blast muttered, his eyes widening slightly at Gray’s large, bloody grin.
“You think this fucker’s ever heard of a Zenkai Boost?”
Gray knew the answer - Boros knew the concept, as that had been the whole reason he spared Gray the first time. But Boros was about to become much more familiar with that concept. Gray raised his hand, tipping a Senzu Bean into his mouth, and then bit down.
“He’s about to see a fuck-ton of them.”

AN: Sorry for the gap in updates again! Got a lot going on rn, so probably won't be able to update every story daily like before for a while, but I'll try not to have large gaps like this again! I plan to still post an update daily for at least one of the stories, and if I can, multiple sometimes.

The fact he’s so unbelievably pissed off and hasn’t become LSSJ is just crazy to me. Must be the system going “Nope! You’re not allowed to do that yet, I’ve gotta bust your balls some more till you scream less with pain and more with joy at the level of suffering I’m putting you through.”
