I think Kakuzu just crapped his pants right now. Practically overwhelmed in the first 1 to 3 minute of the fight. Hiding, I'm not sure, Crazy people like him don't really have fear or a sense of survival. So more than likely he's expecting his immortality to bail him out.

Ya. And Daichi is supersmart. So with his abilities, taking Hidan out of the fight quickly won't be a problem. And the akatsuki didn't expect that he knew about their powers. So that also worked in daichi's favor.

Thats roughly how i expected things to turn out with those 2 As long as you know their abilities beforehand making counters against them is not that hard with daichis skillset
