actually the 2boy 1 girl team formation is not exactly a rule. there are some genin teams with all male members... i think...

I think creating an original char to be his teacher would be a good idea. Like being in a two-man team to teach the higher stuff (maybe with a teacher that doesn't leave the village or so?) and support the other teams as an extra man in missions

So you will probably have a two man team with Kakashi for a year and after that complete the team with Sasuke and Naruto. Considering Sakura is a filler character in Team 7 that's a nice solution

A 4 person regular team on the other hand even with genins would teach him to rely on others and be responsible for teammates. Skills that his solo mentality would benefit from greatly.

Both options are fine but like you said he would either have to always hold back or those genin will become dead weights for him so a normal team would hinder his developement

I'll tell you guys my thoughts. I dont know what effect this will have on the votes but here goes. Personally I'm thinking about making a two man team team. the reason for that is that Daichi is way ahead of any genin and normal genin teammates wont be of much help to him. And you guys will know who his sensei is gonna be in todays chapter.
