Hey all,
The next adventure features wereravens. I’ve used my robo friend to generate some ideas for plots. Pick the one you like best.
1. The Flock’s Oath
Plot Summary:
A village elder has disappeared after a mysterious murder, and the adventurers are hired to find them. Their investigation leads to a nearby forest, where a secretive wereraven flock has taken the elder. The wereravens believe the elder is cursed and poses a threat to the village. The adventurers must determine whether the flock is protecting the village or hiding something more sinister.
Twists:
• The elder is cursed with lycanthropy but is unaware of their condition.
• The wereravens have their own dark secrets, including forbidden knowledge of the curse.
2. The Feathered Prophecy
Plot Summary:
The adventurers are approached by a mysterious wereraven prophet who delivers a cryptic warning about a looming disaster. The wereraven asks the party to retrieve an ancient relic hidden in a ruined monastery. As the party undertakes the task, rival factions, including a group of treasure hunters, seek to claim the relic for their own purposes.
Twists:
• The wereraven’s prophecy is not entirely truthful; they have their own hidden agenda.
• The relic is cursed, and returning it could unleash more harm than good.
3. The Shadow in the Spire
Plot Summary:
A spire in the heart of a sprawling city is the base of operations for a secretive guild of wereravens. When prominent nobles begin disappearing, the adventurers are hired to investigate. The wereravens claim they are hunting a greater evil hiding among the nobility, but the truth is murkier, and their methods are ruthless.
Twists:
• The wereravens are exposing a vampire’s influence over the city.
• Some wereravens have become corrupted and are hunting indiscriminately.
4. The Black Feather Curse
Plot Summary:
An isolated village finds itself plagued by sudden, deadly storms, always preceded by the arrival of a single black feather on its outskirts. The adventurers discover that the wereravens in the area are being forced to summon the storms by a powerful sorcerer who has bound them with a magical contract.
Twists:
• The wereravens offer to help the adventurers, but breaking the contract risks their lives.
• The storms hide something worse—a greater elemental being that the sorcerer is trying to control.
5. The Lost Aviary
Plot Summary:
The adventurers stumble across a hidden, overgrown sanctuary once home to an ancient wereraven flock. The sanctuary is haunted by spirits of the flock’s past members, and a surviving wereraven seeks help reclaiming it. However, the spirits warn of a terrible betrayal within the flock’s history that must be uncovered before the sanctuary can be restored.
Twists:
• The betrayal involves a deal made with dark powers that still affect the sanctuary.
• A rival flock now claims the sanctuary as their own, complicating the quest.
