🕑 Added 2018-07-29 19:29:31 +0000 UTC Hi everyone!I'm not sure if you have all seen the notification I put up on SpaceBattles, but I'm going to start writing my own original fiction!
It's going to be a historical novel, that follows two boys in France during the early middle ages, one of them a merchant's son in the city of Albi (south France), the other a son of a minor noble in northern France who befriend each other. As they grow up however, Pope Innocentius III calls the Cathar Crusade on the heretics of Albi in 1209, and the nothern lords march on their southern brethren. Both young men will discover over a war that lasts for two decades, just how tragic choosing a side can be.
I'll upload each chapter as a post here (or maybe I can link it to something? I'm still unfamiliar with this site, so I'm not sure just what the options are here) and it will be viewable for all of my patrons!
Because I want to keep this as authentic as possible (my pride as a historian demands it) I'm currently doing research on the timeperiod and factions involved, so it might take me about a week before I start uploading chapters of the story.
It's my dream to one day publish my own series of historical novels, and this is the first step towards realizing that dream. Thanks for all of your support, and I'm super exited to get started!

I hope so =) About a third of the way done, though I'm finally done with enough of the research that I can now go ahead an put the rest of the setting into place. Expect the first chapter sometime later this week!
