As consciousness began to seep back into her mind, she became aware of the uncomfortable position she was in. Lara discovered she had been suspended upside down, her ankles bound tightly by a thick strand of the same material that wrapped around her wrists and body. She tried to struggle, but the effort only caused the sticky threads to tighten their embrace. The web swayed slightly with her movements, casting eerie shadows across the cavern floor below. Her thoughts raced as she recalled the events that had led her here: the sudden pain in her navel, the panic as she felt the venom spread through her veins, and the overwhelming darkness that had claimed her.
Her blue tank top, now tattered and stained from her earlier encounter, clung to her like a second skin, revealing the soft mound of one breast. The fabric had stretched during her capture, pulling down to expose the rosy peak of her areola and the firmness of her flesh. Despite the dire situation, she couldn't help but feel a strange sense of vulnerability, a clear dissimilarity to the fearlessness she had known in her many adventures. Her heart rate quickened as she took in the sight of her bare skin, glistening with a sheen of sweat and the remnants of the spider's venom.
