Tickle monster [the closet] 11
🕑 Added 2024-09-26 06:57:12 +0000 UTCWith a shaky exhale, she allowed the tension to seep out of her body, her shoulders dropping and her knees unlocking. She felt foolish, standing there in the moonlit embrace of her room, trembling like a leaf. The monster was just a figment of her imagination, a trick of the shadows playing on her overactive mind. She chuckled to herself, the sound echoing in the emptiness. "You're just tired," she murmured, her voice a comforting whisper in the stillness. "You're letting your fears get the best of you."
Her hand slipped from the doorknob, and she took a step back, the closet swallowing the light as the door creaked shut. She turned around, her back to the looming darkness, and took a deep, calming breath. The urge to sprint back to the safety of her bed was strong, but she forced herself to walk, one foot in front of the other, her eyes on the prize of her warm, welcoming bed. The shadows danced around her, playing tricks on the walls, but she focused on the path ahead, her gaze refusing to be drawn back to the closet.
