Kincaid 2025.01 (Update 3)

After a long wait, here is our next Update for you!
There is a lot to say about what's new in the build and what took us longer than usual to finish it... but all that has to wait because we want to push the build out NOW and not make you wait a day longer.
(Also it's 3am so I'll keep it short and sweet)
First things first: Since the build took so long, we want to make it available to all supporters who have recently pledged, but aren't subscribed right now. We think you shouldn't miss out and will make the update available to you!
There's quite a few new things to check out, although not everything is polished yet.
New intimacy animation: The Bat makes her appearance
New smaller intimacy animation between a kobold and his goey friend
New gallery options: Pinups! Starting with Kincaids favorite rival...
New level mechanics to play around with
New Area: The cisterns are where kobolds get their water from
New preview: A demo version of how our space station will look like with friendly NPCs to greet you
Lots of bug fixes
Probably lots of new bugs that we havent found yet xD
Disclaimer: Many rooms are not decorated yet and the connections between them are temporary. Not all rooms are done, but instead of waiting any longer, we connected everything in a playable way.
So expect more and quicker updates in the future - we want to both keep you informed about what's going on, as well as work with shorter update cycles. In an upcoming post I will talk more about what went on in 2024 - let's just say for now, the year was very rough on both of us.
Right now we have a few pieces of content that are basically ready but couldn't be tied into this update, but are waiting to be added in!

Fixed: Game can save the moment a flapper station is captured and Kincaid is in her death sequence, creating a corrupted save file

Fixed: Some ceiling slopes spirit Kincaid away
Fixed: The pumps still had the debug values for their HP resulting in no fights happening
Fixed: Renee pinup UI overlay can lock the game
Fixed: Several rooms did not connect properly
Fixed: Several collision issues around push boxes
Fixed: You can die indefinitely on Haven
Fixed: Broken water interaction that allowed Kincaid to swim outside of the water, fly through the rooms and drown mid air.
Fixed: A rare crash in the gallery

Correction just seems like it soft locks when she dies.

Hi would like to report a bug in the Kaha fight. Did the fight as normal until 3rd time she uses the big orb. I messed up the the orb 3 times and as I was continuing to hit the small orbs she appeared to have died. As a result of this the game soft locked with no Kaha and the fight being stuck on the elevator not ending.

It's difficult to answer! You definitely need to jump and punch quite a bit!

The cistern area starts right beneath the Kaha bossfight (elevator) ^w^ Also we will make sure to update our FAQ about the animations, possibly with hints to you will be able to track them down more easily :3

Trying to find the thing for the bat girl, started a new save with "Just bring me to the new shit!" and can't seem to dins a way to get any further without finding nothing to do or repeating same areas...im missing like 3-4 animations and wanting to see Kincaid getiing laid by other things XD

When it first comes down you need to hang onto the RIGHT side of it. after you go under the obstacle that blocks the top of it you need to jump on top of the block and go to the right.

Alright, terrible question time. How are we supposed to beat the room with the block that goes in a square. I'm not seeing any way to do it. I've tried hanging, that doesn't work. I'm completely confused. This is right after the room with the rock on the bottom.

Yes the bat is where DWLKJR mentioned! (Thanks for replying!! ^w^ ) We are working on a hotfix to fix the connection that is supposed to lead to the room with the kobold and slime!

Thank you I will check them all out! ^w^ When you say "shoot through the tank" do you mean the pump with the slime in it? Or something else? I'm trying to reproduce the bugs! :3

A subtle little bug I found. If you release the jump button just as Kincaid's head hits a semisolid platform, she'll instantly move down with no air hangtime.

I have already been testing the update and it is fine, I had saved a game from the previous version and everything was fine, my point is that in the new tank area I found three bugs, the first when you get the ability to shoot through the tank. The third and fourth shot freezes for two seconds, the second bug is when you open one of the doors where there are three npc with the shot it no longer lets you advance, and the third bug in the winged room where when you press the button they stop When the water rises, it fills half but the error starts when the air meter starts without being in the water. These are the first ones I found in this area and I will start with a new game to see the improvements

The bat is located in the new area and the new kobold animation is currently unobtainable due to a bug. the level transition to the kobold is not working so you cannot see it. we have to wait for a hotfix.

Hold E on the rock to drag it. in the next room hold onto the ledge of the moving block. it's a bit hard because you have to do it quickly

Seem to be getting stuck having just found the Bat Girl. There's a usable pipe on the right that softlocks; sending Kincaid into the edge of the screen with no transition, and the room on the left seems to require an item that doesn't exist yet.

don't know if this has been reported but in the city ruins past a rolling beetle one of the rooms is just a blank screen I have a screenshot if needed

The pipe directly to the right of the bat girl is softlocked and you cannot progress. also i do not see a pinups option in the gallery.
