Yeah I could do but that wasn't really the intention. It was more of a "I'm not ready to preview it properly yet" kind of teaser. I'm gonna make some trailers and shit but I don't want it to feel like it's really close otherwise any momentum would probably have died by the time it actually gets out. Social media posting takes more thought than you would think.

Anyway, if I understand your message correctly, it does sound very strange to me that you need to publish something on YouTube in order to release it on Patreon. In fact, I thought the whole point of Patreon was to give exclusive premium content to patrons. Perhaps you can upload to YouTube and set the privacy level to "Unlisted" instead of "Public"...

Patreon doesn't allow me to post videos without uploading them to youtube first. I just wanted to give some tiny peeks rather than actually reveal anything, to let you know that I'm working on this every day. I could post them on instagram but I thought it'd be a nice treat for supporters. I might post instagram stories

I am quite surprised you are complaining about a new Salad Fingers teaser. I was hella annoyed by the amount of white loading circles that were coming up for each segment, but I don't think you can blame David Firth for that element. As Brian once said, "There's no pleasing some people..."

Hey David. I'm a maths professor and I used your video in a talk about postmodernism. The crowd was very receptive to your message. Cambridge Analytica used Facebook data to build psychological profiles of people receptive to postmodernism and they used it as a statistical indicator to target voters in the Brexit and 2016 US elections. Thanks for the response. Very understandable. It is true that moderation is the key to such things. If you take your time I am sure you will get a better result too. At the end of the day, we would all be happier with a better result than something rushed. I hope there is a way at some point that with additional financial support you can get more hands on deck to help you bring these to fruition while keeping the quality high. You are a gifted artist and there is so much potential here. We all appreciate your work very much :)

These things can't be rushed. I was putting in 12 hours a day on SF 11 hoping to get it finished in the next month or so but I had to take a rest and return to the news video. It really becomes an obsession that can be quite unhealthy. It's like doing smack or something. The rest of my life takes a backseat and if I do it straight through without a break, it really takes hold of me. When I'm in a project, I don't sit around wasting time. It is work-eat-sleep on repeat.

Have you considered using the FakeApp instead of video merge effects? I don't know your workflow well enough, so it's just a suggestion. The uncanny valley effect would be different I guess.
