A Gift From Nanaki
🕑 Added 2016-02-12 09:56:38 +0000 UTC Doing a bit of retconning: Kuga's missing an eyenow, because her eye used to be the mark of her covenant, so when she
destroyed her Overlord and consequently killed that part of herself, the
eye went with it. Whether Nanaki gave her the cosmetic implant out of
good will or because he didn't want to look at the gaping hole in her
face remains a mystery, but regardless, this is significant because up
to this point, Kuga was viewed by the rest of the group as an outsider,
an enemy, and/or a reluctant asset, hardly a friend.
As for why
she can't just regenerate a new eye, I'm thinking after thousands of
years of programming and torture her equivalent of a 'genetic blueprint'
has been corrupted into the absence of her eye being 'default'. Or
maybe she never had one to begin with, and the socket's a window into
the void, who knows?

Attached a silly Sans cosplay edit as well. :U
