I'm thinking that Hunter and Luz come across a painting that kid Belos is trying to prevent them from looking into. When they step inside, they see something rather embarrassing, and kid Belos has to stand by and watch them laugh at him.
As for what they see, I'm not sure. I was thinking we find out that Belos is actually close friends with Steve and they hang out in secret. Though I'm not sure if that's really all that funny.

What if Belos is trying to do something and failing, or like him trying a spell failing and falling into a trash slug pile

Steve used to go fishing with him but then Steve had to take a step back because he didn’t like Belos trashing Lilith outside of work. Belos is a terrible fisher and lies about all his catches.
