Infamous Alpha Prologue + CH1 release (band tier)
🕑 Added 2024-04-16 01:38:54 +0000 UTCHello! The chapter 1 rewrite is here! Truthfully, not so much has changed from the original iteration. I really like how chapter one was originally, so I didn't do much aside from add a new scene and some choices sprinkled in here and there. I ended up tweaking the new scene last minute (aka finished a few minutes ago haha) but it doesn't feel as meaty as I'd like now that I'm rereading it. I feel like we need to spend even more time with the band, but maybe that's just me. Let me know!
I already feel like there's a few instances in need of more choices, but I haven't been able to think of any at all that feels like an improvement. We will see once Ch. 3 is getting written. I'm definitely a "go back and add things now that I'm writing this" kind of writer, so sometimes I do lack the foresight to know. Ah, well!
I didn't add any of the suggestions from the prologue from Patreons. I want to focus on finishing Chapter 2 before I implement any suggestions from you guys after reading these chapters, hence why I call them alpha chapters.
Truthfully, I'm really trying to finish so I can move on to chapter 3. All the errors and the fixes can be fixed any time, but eventually we're in need of new content to feel revitalized by the story and really feel like we're progressing. Or at least, that's my mindset. I am itching to release a new chapter and finally move on from these first three. I'm sure everyone feels the same lol
Anyway. You know the drill! Errors and typos and any suggestions, I'm all ears! For the rest of the month, I'll be working on the Patreon content. Hope you like the new additions!
You likely have to restart. I advise just skipping/speedrunning the prologue ahahaha you're likely going to have to play it again once chapter 2 and 3 come out!
UPDATE: The game breaking bug 1478 should be fixed now! I quickly tested it and it worked but if it's still posing a problem, pls lmk. Typos and errors are fine in comments but if there are any game breaking bugs that stop you from progressing, would super appreciate it if you sent it through my inbox so I can fix it right away! For some reason, I don't get Patreon notifs on my phone haha but I do get Tumblr notifs. Thank you <3

I had this happen to me too and I mentioned it above. I believe the flags for being a new non-drinker or not are switched. So if your MC chose to change by no longer drinking, you would get the answer choices as though MC was still drinking, and vice versa.

Another typo, maybe? Or maybe not, but I'm posting it here just in case. The choice in the prologue to set Seven as an ex has an extra ex, so it's ex-ex-boy/girlfriend. IDK if it's supposed to mean that MC and Seven have broken up before or not, but well...posting it here just in case. Also, the L in long is missing here: That life feels like something you've dreamt up, happening so *ong* ago that you can almost convince yourself it never happened.

Hello, late to the party. While playing the prologue, I noticed that there's an indefinite article where there shouldn't be. Here's the quote. Putting asterisks around the article: You're not sure how much Orion knows of your crush on him but you're guessing not much. You haven't made it known, and you've tried hard to hide it but Orion is *a* smart .

Am I tripping or is MC automatically locked into being a non-drinker? I restarted a bunch of times to see if I did an oopsie, but no matter what choice I picked I still kept getting the non-drinker dialogue/interactions. :(
