Monster Flex- Part 1

Asgore was starting to pace through his garden— he had already watered his orchids, and if he fussed with them anymore, he was in danger of overwatering. He had been lost in thought; the large, burly goat monster was— at least technically, at least— still the King of Monsters, but now that everyone was settled into their new homes in Surface Home, he wasn't entirely sure what he was supposed to do. Being King for such a long time, he didn't really know how to manage things on the surface, with its county boards, Homeowners' Associations, and school boards. Bit by bit, he had tried to delegate to people who seemed to know more about how things were done on the surface, until he realized he didn't really have anything to do. Sure, everyone still called him King, but did he really deserve that title if he didn't do anything to help his people out?
Asgore sighed as he carried himself inside, flopping onto the couch in the cozy home he had built for himself. His skills were mostly relegated to fighting humans and being royal, but apparently those were two things that didn't have much of a market on the surface. He drummed his fingers against the armrest of his couch, then drifted over to some of his mail. More bills, advertisements… but then something caught Asgore's eye. It was a magazine, with a huge wolf on the cover, flexing arms thick as Asgore's waist.
"Golly… what is this?" he muttered, flipping through the magazine. It was called "Flex."
He looked at the address, and clicked his tongue, rolling his eyes. "Ah, Papyrus… he must have gotten my gardening magazine. What… Is this?"
The goat flipped through the magazine, his eyes slowly growing wide as he was introduced to the sport of bodybuilding. "Oh my…" he muttered, stroking his blonde beard. He could feel his cheeks growing warm with so many huge, musclebound figures flexing, wearing hardly anything— He thought Aaron would probably love this. Before he closed it, however, an article caught his eye.
"Hulking Hometown Hero…" he muttered. "Newcomer to the sport Davie Wilkes has put his small hometown of Forester Pike on the map… Named official representative… key to the city…" Asgore's brows arched high. "Huh. Well. This bodybuilding thing doesn't seem so hard… This is the sort of thing a King should do for his people… right?"
