Dragains- Part 1

It was the last night of Hell Week on campus; the final night for every frat house and sorority to stop hazing and finally show mercy to their pledges. Several of the frat houses on campus competed for the biggest and wildest party, but none of them could quite beat the wild nature of Beta Iota Gamma— or the BIG House. Everything they did was the biggest; the biggest house on Fraternity Row, the biggest parties, the biggest names on campus— all of them got poached by BIG. This year, two of the stand-outs amongst the pledges, and the two top names after BIG's intense hazing, were Jake Long and Daren Leon.
Jake Long, for his part, was ready to take college by storm— he had spent his years growing up in New York, careful not to draw too much attention to himself because of his responsibilities, but in a fraternity like BIG, he could show off as much as he wanted. The deal he had made with his family was four years where he wasn't the country's magical guardian; supposedly so he could focus on his studies. But for Jake, that meant four years of doing whatever he wanted— and he wanted to be the biggest deal at BIG. He wasn't entirely living his duties to the side; riding on his athletics scholarship, he studied mythology and ancient arts under the guise of an art history major, kept an eye out for anything strange or magical, but otherwise, he was ready to set aside being a hero for a bit, and just be the big man on campus.
He had been quick to make friends with his future brothers— but the dragon felt a certain sense of duty towards one of his fellow pledges throughout Hell Week; Daren Leon. A former child actor, Daren was a sweet natured lion that Jake would even call cute. Great hair and mane, a friendly attitude, a cute smile, the dragon instantly took a look at him and felt a need to protect him— an instinct that bore out, once he heard about all the brothers trying to bully him into trying drugs, just to say they got the former anti-drug spokesman high.
While playing the dumb jock, Jake had been laying the groundwork. He was going to take over BIG, and once he was calling the shots, he could make it clear that no one messed with Daren— not unless they wanted to tangle with BIG's biggest dragon. He had taken every Hell Week challenge in stride, making himself one of the boys— but he was going to start throwing his weight around. As he dressed for the house party to celebrate the end of Hell Week, the dragon grabbed a little vial, a potion that he had been keeping away for a rainy day, patting it in his pocket. It was supposed to give him and allies the strength of heroes, but the dragon had a slightly different idea on how to use it. He smirked as he checked his reflection, slicking back his green and black hair and flashing a toothy smile before heading out.
As he walked across the campus quad, he spotted Daren, and jogged to catch up with the lion.
"Hey, Daren, my dude!" Jake draped his red-scaled arm over the lion's shoulders before they walked into the party. "Hold up a minute."
Daren brushed back his thick, full mane. "What's up, Jake?"
"Be on your guard, man— the senior brothers are gonna try to set you up all night. They got like, five different spots in the party where they'll try and get you on the stuff, you know?"
The lion's mouth twisted. "What? You're kidding. I thought hazing was over."
"Yeah, well they got a pot going— first one to get it right when you trip up gets the whole thing, and there's like, a thousand dollars on the line, now," the dragon said.
Daren furrowed his brow. "Wait, how do you know about this?"
"Because I'm in on the pot, dude!" Jake waggled his eyebrows. "But I bet you wouldn't crack, so don't let me down, yeah?" The dragon gave Daren a quick smack on the rear with a cheeky smirk. "I'll split the winnings with you, too— think about what two dudes with that kind of money to burn could do in one night."
Jake grinned broadly as he saw how flustered the lion got with his thick arm hanging around him, pressed up against his chest— the dragon couldn't wait to see the look on Daren's face at the end of the party, after he had used his secret weapon. Ruffling Daren's mane, he bounded up the stairs, and grabbing both handles of the large double doors that lead into the frat house, threw them open with a dramatic flair as he leapt inside, letting his wings flair out to take up as much room as possible.
"What is up, Beta-Gamma? Who's ready to get fucked up with the Amdrag?!" Jake announced loudly, pumping his fist in the air.
"Heeey, there's the new blood!" Chuck, one of the frat's self-proclaimed alpha males, lumbered forward— an absolute tank of a bear, he was the school's biggest linebacker. Jake was going to use him as a measuring stick— he looked forward to knocking the bear down a peg or two, especially as he was one of Daren's usual bullies. "C'mere, we're gonna start the party early." Chuck grabbed Jake's arm, dragging him off to a room lined with beer kegs. "We got the good shit tonight, bro." The bear clapped Jake on the back, steering him towards the nearest. "Drink up! You're a real BIG brother tonight."
Jake grinned tightly. He took a red cup from Chuck, downing it one gulp. His hand brushing against the little potion as he had a notion. "Hey, Chuck man— you like making bets." Jake tapped his claw against the keg. "I'll bet you I can down this whole keg before the night's out." He puffed up his chest, pumping his free arm. "Dragon's constitution, bro— I can drink like a fish."
The larger bear smirked, stroking his chin. "Alright, fresh meat— what's the wager?"
"If I can't do it, then I'll be your personal servant for a week— anything you want me to do, I'll do it. But if I win, you work for me."
Chuck glanced between Jake and the keg. "The whole keg, before the party ends?"
Jake smirked. "Whole thing."
The bear's smirk spread as he grabbed the dragon's hand, squeezing tightly. "Alright, fresh meat! You're on!" He turned to the rest of the room. "Yo, yo! Brothers!" He slapped his hand against the keg. "Brother Jake here thinks he can drink the whole keg here before the party ends— anyone steals a sip from this keg here, they're gonna get shoved down the laundry chute, got me?" Chuck grinned toothily as he punched Jake's arm. "Good luck."
"Ah, I won't need it." Jake said, smirking as he quickly opened the tap, then dropped the small potion in. He made a show of pouring his first cup from the keg, but along with feeling a faint buzz, he also felt the potion begin its work— like liquid, molten gold setting his veins on fire, it shot through him like a lightning bolt. He felt little sparks of flame leap from his mouth as he coughed it down, but then he felt that warmth spread into his limbs, a slowly building tension as his muscles began to coil like taut springs— this was exactly what he had been hoping for.
The dragon smirked as he flexed his arm, a little flicker of gold shooting across a vein throbbing just beneath his red scales as the muscle surged out just a little more.
"Yo guys, check this out!" Jake shouted. He poured himself another drink as he got the attention of a few others. Guzzling down the enhanced beer, he then tilted his head back, even as he felt his chest tighten and bulge. Swishing the last drink in his mouth like mouthwash, he spat it out, and just as quick, breathed fire on the arcing bit of beer, making a fireball— which he caught back in his mouth before striking a pose as his new brothers cheered him on. "Boom! BIG's gonna have some real fire power now that I'm around!"
Cup after cup flowed into the dragon, like fuel into a growing bonfire. With the low lights, heavy, thumping music, and beer freeing flowing from the other five kegs, hardly anyone noticed the dragon's incremental growth, the augmentation of his musculature, drip by drip, even as he was starting to outgrow his clothes. His arms tightened and flexed, red scales bristling as muscle charged forward. His biceps inflating like balloons, his triceps filling out to counter them. The dragon's shoulders pushed to either side, his neck growing thick as a bull's. His chest came next, pushing forward like the tide coming in, a pair of solid, stone like pecs that jutted over his dense, chiseled abs. His back muscles surged, heaving flanks swelling out as wide as his wings used to go— but even they were growing larger, the limbs holding his wings aloft growing heavy with muscle, like a second pair of beefy arms.
He was just itching for a chance to see how powerful all this brawn was making him, as all he could do in the middle of drinks was more flexing and posing the various thick burls of brawn that had bloomed so beautifully along his body— he did keep glancing nervously towards the buffet table too, where he knew Daren was hovering around. He tried to get an eye on the lion, but some fatass kept blocking the way.
As the dragon reached for another drink, Chuck nudged him. "Hey, dude— have you taken a look at your boy scout boyfriend over there? Daren's blowing up like a balloon."
Jake whipped his head around. "What? What the hell are you talking about?"
"Dude can't stop eating! It's crazy!" the bear laughed, patting his thick middle. "He's gonna end up bigger than me before the party's over! We're gonna start a new pot, see what's like, the biggest thing we can get him to eat. You in?"
The dragon bit his lower lip. He had a bad feeling about why Daren was suddenly blowing up— how close was he to Daren when he was carrying the potion? "Uh… I-I'll be right out there, yeah."
Jake was about to follow Chuck, but some of the others stopped hm. "Dude! C'mon, Jake— you only got one drink left!"
"I— gah! Fine, fine." The dragon grumbled, turning back to the keg. He rolled his broad shoulders as he picked up the keg and hoisted it over his head as his engorged biceps almost brushed against his cheeks, while his chest heaved upwards to meet his chin. With his claws alone, he punctured a hole through the keg and guzzled the last drops of beer down, shaking them loose as his muscles rippled with one last surge of power. He let out a triumphant roar, belching a wave of fire over the heads of his admirers as they began to chant "Jake! Jake! Jake!"
The dragon smirked broadly, his head swiveling— Daren would be alright for a little while longer. Chuck was probably drunk too and didn't know what he was talking about. With a heavy grunt, he brought the keg down and his massive arms tensed, slab-like triceps billowing as he squeezed the keg into a chunk of scrap metal and tossed it over the heads of the crowd. "Check it! Jump shot!"
The dragon basked in the cheers of the crowd for all of two seconds before he heard the crashing of metal and cries of "Oh, what the fuck?"
Jake winced, as he spotted where the keg had landed— it had hit the folding table where some of the brothers had set up beer pong, and flattened it completely.
One of the frat bros, a broad-shouldered fox, glanced up, and scowled at Jake. "Damn it, new blood! Look at what you just did!"
Jake paused for a moment, and then snapped his fingers as inspiration struck him. "Nah, nah— hold on, bro, I can fix this!"
He reached over to another keg and filled another two cups; he leaned back, wedging the cups between the inflated slabs of powerful pectoral muscle that made up his chest. "Hah! Check it, I'm the beer pong table now!"
The crowd laughed and cheered as Jake struck a pose, biceps jostling his pecs, standing like a monumental statue as he kept the party rolling. The dragon couldn't help but smile; now that most of BIG had their eyes on him, he was already aiming his sights on something even bigger.

Oh wow, so it’s a college party with an A-side and a B-side, with Jake and Daren. As for Jake’s tank top, did you use FlexComics’s website for it or do one of you actually have that design IRL?
