About my Patreon Server
🕑 Added 2024-10-19 16:00:07 +0000 UTCIve started to feel over the past few months its slowly gotten out of hand for me, at its inception I just kind of wanted a small space for me and my friends and I just sort of tied it to my patreon when I ended up not using it that much. But over time its gotten bigger and bigger and I realize, I dont really know anyone in the server and I dont talk in it at all, Im the kind of person that needs to be in a VERY small server before I get overwhelmed and just mute it. I think I realized that there was a flaw in my logic
"Because every other artist has a server, I need to have one too" despite that not really working for me? I realize now that I didnt really sign up to manage a server and put my energy into like, getting discord mods and stuff.
So ive decided to reboot the server. Im going to make an entirely new server, and this time keep track every single person that joins, as one issue I have is several people that once were on my patreon just quit but still had access, and I realize its impossible for me to keep track, so Im going going to make a new server for hosting art and streams but I wont really allow people to talk because im not interested in moderating a community, this change will most likely happen next month with me making the new server in the last week of October and me closing it at the start of November, classes have really started to pick up on my end and I dont have the time or mental energy to devote myself to moderating a server.
I'm sorry for everyone that enjoys chatting in my server but its just gotten hard for me to manage and I dont think I can handle maintaining an active community like this, my biggest fear is some big fight breaking out and I end up having to be the one to handle it, and if you know me I hate conflict more than anything. I know that having a server is a responsibility so I feel its best I just say "This is something I cant handle" and move on rather than continuing to make myself miserable.
