A Supportive Lover (Commission)
🕑 Added 2022-08-30 01:52:13 +0000 UTCA commission for Kayllik.
The spell arrived in the mail, days after Susan ordered it. She opened the envelope and pulled out a sheet of black cardstock paper. Drawn upon it in silver ink were intricate geometrical designs interspersed with arcane symbols and sigils. None of it made sense to Susan, but she had no doubt it was actual magic. Along with the spell, there was a note from the witch.
It read:
Ms. Susan,
As requested, enclosed here is a spell to strengthen your love with your boyfriend. You wished for him to recognize your support for him. Burn the card with the spell to activate it, and he will know it.
However, as I cautioned you before, if the love between you is not true, the spell may become corrupted with unpredictable results. Cast it at your own risk.
Cordially,
Mme. Z
“He loves me,” Susan reassured herself. “I just need to prove myself to him.”
While Walter’s true feelings were not in doubt, she knew that he had drifted away from her, somewhat. Citing her doubts about his football career, Walter had spoken less to her as he had trained more for the coming season. Despite languishing on the practice squad, he felt that he was one lucky break away from a spot on the active roster. Susan had encouraged him to quit, out of concern for his health, but he had misinterpreted her concern as a lack of support. Nothing she said would make him understand her true feelings. If she could just correct this misunderstanding, then she knew their love would be stronger than ever. Discovering the witch’s website and ordering the spell from her had given Susan hope that she could salvage their relationship.
Susan traveled to his apartment with the envelope in hand and waited for him to come home. Soon, the door to the apartment opened and in walked her beloved Walter with his gym bag hanging from his shoulder.
Noticing Susan standing there, Walter asked, “Why are you here?”
“I thought I would come over to make you dinner tonight,” she said, smiling, while nervously gripping the letter behind her back.
“I’m dead tired right now,” he said, setting down his bag. “I need to have a serious conversation with you, but I want to take a long nap first. Okay?”
“Oh, I see,” she said, feeling worried but trying to appear up-beat. “No problem. I can just wait here while you rest. Then, we can talk after.”
“Don’t bother,” he said, while heading for his bedroom. “I’ll call you when I’m ready. You can let yourself out.”
He entered the bedroom and shut the door behind himself.
She stood there a long while, staring at the door, deciding that she must cast the spell right away. It was now or never.
Susan searched the cupboards for matches and found a long grill lighter. She carried it and the spell card over to the sink. Then, she pulled the trigger on the lighter and ignited the spell.
“Please work,” she begged as she watched the fire spread over the black paper, the flames turning blue when they made contact with the silver ink. Susan set the card in the sink to let it burn and walked to the bedroom, hoping to see a sign of the magic at work on Walter. She cracked open the door and stood there, watching him sleep and waiting for something to happen. Then, she felt something strange.
Susan’s body tingled with unnerving energy as if every part of her was a limb that had fallen asleep, leaving her feeling oddly numb and invigorated all at once.
“What’s happening to me?” she asked as the sensation increased.
Her confusion grew as she felt her body begin to shrink. As she became shorter, she thinned out as well. With her mass draining away, she sensed her limbs flattening out and losing vitality. All the while, her clothes clung tighter to her until they felt like a new layer of skin, indistinguishable from her own body.
“Help!” she gasped, pushing into the bedroom, but her voice sounded hollowed out and frail.
Walter did not even stir in bed.
Susan’s body seemed to crumple in on itself, losing shape as it became thin and colorless. She felt herself pulled into loops, legs and arms joining to other parts of herself. As the reshaping became more extreme, she lost control of her body. Her mouth spread wide into a pocket as her head became flat fabric and the rest of her turned to elastic straps. Then, she dropped helplessly to the floor, and lay there unmoving, reduced to an inanimate article of clothing.
At first, Susan just felt lost in confusion. What had happened to her? Why had she turned into… whatever she was? Not able to move or change her viewpoint, she could not see what she had become. Somehow, she could still sense the world around her. She could look around the room above her. She could hear Walter’s deep breathing as he slept. She even thought she could smell dirty socks somewhere nearby.
But, why? She wondered with growing frustration. Why had the spell done this to me? It made no sense. Had the witch cursed her for some reason? She tried to remember what the note had said, something about true love and unpredictable corruption… But, they loved each other. Right?
The questions did not matter, Susan realized, as she had no way of getting answers right now. She could not call for help. She could not even move. She was stuck there on the floor, forced to wait for someone else to find her. She placed her hopes on Walter. He would wake up soon and discover her there. Then, he would spot the witch’s note in the kitchen and figure out what had happened. He would find a way to help. Of course, her love would save her from this fate.
With nothing else to do but wait and hope for rescue, Susan became terribly bored. Time passed slowly without anything to do to distract herself. She did not even have a clock to look at to measure how long it had been. After a while, she wondered if she could sleep in this form, but she feared losing consciousness too much to try.
At long last, Susan heard the mattress springs creak as Walter rolled over and set his feet on the floor. He yawned and stood up, stretching, and Susan found herself feeling fearful of how giant she seemed now.
Walter turned in her direction, and for a hopeful moment, Susan thought he noticed her on the floor. A stinging beep from the apartment door buzzer distracted him before he could examine her. He walked toward her and nearly stepped right on her with his huge foot as he passed over her and headed for the apartment door to answer the buzzer.
“Hello?” he responded.
“Walter, are you alone?” a woman’s voice responded over the speaker.
“Yes,” he replied.
“Can I come up?” she replied.
“Beth,” he said. “I haven’t told her yet.”
“Let me in, please.”
He sighed and pressed a button. In the distance, the door to the apartment buzzed and opened.
Susan tried to remember if she knew of anyone named Beth. Maybe Walter had mentioned her before, but Susan had no idea who Beth was. What was going on between Beth and Walter? And, were they talking about Susan just now?
There was a knock on the door, and Walter opened it, letting Beth in.
“Come here,” she said.
Susan thought she heard a kiss.
“I was going to tell her today,” Walter said.
“Call her,” Susan said.
Walter sighed and said, “All right, I’ll call her. I think I left my phone in my bedroom.”
Susan heard his footsteps approach and saw his enormous foot pass over her on his way to his bedside table. Suddenly, Susan felt a heavy weight pressing down on her. It took her a moment to realize that Beth was standing on her. Although Susan felt no pain, it was an awful sensation to be flattened beneath Beth’s shoe.
“Ew!” cried Beth, pulling her foot off of Susan’s fabric body. “Disgusting!”
“What?” Walter asked.
“You leave your dirty underwear just lying around on the floor?” Beth asked.
Walter looked at Susan on the floor, giving her a final glimmer of hope that he might realize who she was.
“I don’t remember leaving a jock strap there,” Walter said. “Must have fallen out of my bag.”
A jock strap? Susan thought. I’m a jock strap now? I turned into his underwear? Why?
Beth gave Susan a light kick, sending her flying. Susan came to rest leaning against the dresser. As annoyed as she was at being kicked around, Susan appreciated that this new perspective let her see both Walter and Beth more clearly now. Beth was stunningly beautiful and wore fashionable exercise gear. Susan suspected that she might be a professional cheerleader. Maybe Walter met her at work.
“I can’t believe that what’s-her-name put up with this mess,” Beth said and, after a pause, asked, “What is her name, anyway?”
“Her name is…” Walter said but stopped in the middle of the sentence with a doubtful look on his face. “I… I can’t remember right now,” he said, rubbing the back of his head with his hand. “Weird. I don’t remember getting hit that hard today.”
Susan’s heart fell, realizing that something was very wrong. There was no ordinary way he could have forgotten her name. They had spoken only an hour or two ago. This must be an effect of the magic. Was it making him forget her?
“Isn’t her number on your phone?” Beth asked.
“Um,” Walter said. “I don’t know. It should be, but… How would I find it if I’m forgetting her name?”
Beth sighed. “Let’s just forget her altogether, then,” she suggested.
Walter looked genuinely confused. “Forget who?” he asked.
“I-I don’t know,” Beth said, seeming just as confused. “Some girl you knew, maybe?”
“Huh?” Walter said. “Well, whatever. She must not be all that important.”
Susan felt like crying, but she no longer even had eyes to form tears. It appeared that she had been erased from his memory, maybe even erased from existence.
“Are we going out tonight or what?” Beth asked.
“Sure,” Walter said, sounding cheerful now. “Let me just clean up a little first.”
After picking up a pair of socks and grabbing Susan, he carried them to his clothes hamper and tossed them all inside. And, that is where Susan lay, surrounded by the stink of his dirty laundry, listening to Walter and his new girl flirting until he was ready to leave.
Once Susan was alone in the apartment, she tried to make sense of what had happened to her. Unfortunately, the foot odor from his socks made it impossible to focus, so she gave in and tried to fall asleep. Fortunately for her, she managed to lose consciousness almost immediately.

Later on, when Susan was shaken awake, she wanted to tell Walter about the weird nightmare she had, but she worried that he might find the idea that she had turned into his jock strap to be a little strange. However, after smelling the stink of his socks, she realized that it was not a dream. She was still in his hamper, buried in his dirty clothes. Moments later, he lifted her out of the hamper and tossed her into the washing machine with his other clothes. Soapy water rose up around her, worrying her that she would drown in it, but even when submerged, she found that she had no more need for air. She was synthetic fibers and elastic now, none of which needed air to exist. Following the wash, she survived a long disorientating tumble in the dryer. Finally, she was folded up and stashed away in a drawer.
With nothing else happening and no way to change her situation at all, Susan retreated into sleep, again.
***
Some time later, Susan was awakened by Walter pulling her out of the drawer. Then, she was placed in a gym bag for an extended trip in darkness. When she was taken out again, she was in a crowded locker room. She saw Walter standing there, gigantic and handsome, dressed only in his underwear. She wanted to call out to him, to beg him to recognize her, to express her love for him one more time. Instead, she hung in his hand as he slid a protective cup inside of her pocket, like stuffing something into her mouth or up her ass. (At this point, she could not say which hole it had been before.)
What happened next surprised her with how intimate it felt. One leg at a time, he stepped inside of her straps, and pulled her up his legs to his crotch. The feeling of his warm muscular flesh stretching her body out felt simultaneously exhilarating and dispiriting. Being wrapped tightly around his waist, feeling the shape of his enormous cock pressing against her inside, it was almost sexual. However, she felt no affection from him. He was only aware of her as a useful object, something to protect his cock and balls from harm. Ruefully, she realized that his cock was no longer waiting to pleasure her and that she was no longer able to pleasure it back. And yet, she felt the contours of his cock always there, impossible to ignore as it pressed against her fabric, tantalizingly close. After he had covered her up by his pants, she was trapped there, cupped against him, slowly absorbing the sweat from his balls. She felt as though she could taste it.
When Walter moved, Susan felt the weight of his genitals contained within her, resting against her as her elastic fabric supported them. Something dawned on her, then. Susan remembered the other name for a jock strap, and she realized what had gone wrong with the witch’s spell. She had wished for Walter to feel her support, and if he no longer wanted her as a lover, then she could only support him as athletic gear, an athletic supporter. Were it not such a terrible fate, Susan might have been amused by how absurdly ironic it all was.
As Susan tried to come to terms with her new existence, she could hear the sound of men shouting to each other somewhere nearby. Walter became active, his muscles flexing, legs running, waist twisting and bending beneath her straps. All the while, she clung to him, feeling as thought she had her arms and legs wrapped around him. She could not help but be reminded of sex with him, but there was no pleasure to the sensation of being worn by him. If anything, she found it unpleasant to be constantly pulled out of shape. There was an occasional shock from some other body making contact with her, and she realized that she had protected Walter from some pain. It depressed her to recognize that protecting his cock and balls was her sole function now. Her value to him only extended as far as she could serve that purpose.
After a while, the practice ended. Walter undressed, and she was discarded in his bag as he went off to shower. Soon, he was clean, but she was still soaked in his pungent sweat. She rode back to his apartment in his bag. Then, she was tossed into his hamper again, along with the rest of his underwear.
A little later, there was a beep from the door buzzer.
“Beth?” Walter responded.
“Hello,” she replied.
“I’ll be down in a minute.”
He left, and Susan embraced unconsciousness again.
***
A little later on, Susan was awoken by the sound of voices, wordless grunts and moans, a man and woman together. Through the mesh fabric of the hamper, she saw Walter and Beth writhing naked in bed, their limbs intertwined. Susan watched him with his cock buried in Beth, the same cock whose protection was Susan’s sole responsibility now. The couple appeared lost in erotic passion. Meanwhile, here Susan was, his stinking laundry, his forgotten ex, forced to witness him making love to her replacement, unable to do anything but sit there and take it all in.
Susan wondered if there was a way to snuff out her consciousness altogether, but she did not sense a way to do it, then. What the future held, Susan did not know, but she could comfort herself in the certainty that, while Walter may not love her, he would appreciate her support in some way.
