At the Foot of the Queen (Commission)

Although he had sworn to do whatever it took to end the war between their two great kingdoms, he had been reluctant to go along with this particular plan. The court witch of his kingdom had devised a way for him to eavesdrop undetected by the queen. He had tried to suggest other options, but the witch had pointed out how the queen had used her evil magic to detect spies many times before. No, to get close to her, he would need to be something other than human, something that was not even alive, an object.
Will had felt the pressure to go along with the plan. The witch had given him a potion to drink and had transported him before he could stop her. Now, in the enemy queen’s chambers, he would need to go ahead with the plan, or he would be quickly found and executed.
He sighed again and started searching for an object to use that would allow him to follow along with the queen. On her dresser, he discovered some jewelry laid out, crafted from gold and precious gems. He considered the earrings but decided that he would rather not be inserted into her body. Instead, he selected one of her rings, a simple white gold one. Her finger, he reasoned, would be a good place from which to witness her plans.
Hearing footsteps approaching down the hall, Will uncorked the potion bottle and gulped the foul liquid down. Then, he touched the ring. As soon as he pulled his finger from it, the ring vanished, and he felt himself lifted into the air. Hovering there, weightless, he sensed the room growing larger around him. Meanwhile, his body felt stretched as he was bent over backwards. Soon, his fingers and toes were touching, forming a circle behind himself. The shrinking and stretching continued, his body becoming thin and rigid, the circle it formed more perfect and smooth. When he finally came to rest on the spot where the ring had been, he had fully transformed into its duplicate, nothing more than a loop of white gold metal.
Moments later, before he had a chance to come to terms with how he had changed, the door to the room opened and the evil queen herself entered the room. He watched as she changed from a comfortable casual dress into a more formal gown. Then, she approached the table where he lay, waiting for her. Seeing her getting closer, he was terrified by her relative size. To him, she was a giant, as tall and weighty as a mountain. For a moment, she looked at him, and he feared that she had detected him, but she continued getting dressed without pause.
The queen put on her necklace, her earrings, and other rings on her fingers. When she reached for him, he expected to be slipped onto one of her other fingers, instead she lifted him into the air, her fingers warming his cold metal body, and lowered him down to her foot. After a moment of confusion, he realized that he had made a mistake in choosing which piece of jewelry to become. Instead of her finger, she slipped him onto her toe, and he was immediately aware of the dampness and odor of her foot. He felt a desire to wriggle free of the toe, but he could not move at all. His body was only solid metal, an inanimate object. He felt her flesh pressed against the surface of his metal “skin,” rubbing its smell off on him. He could see the rest of the queen’s body towering above him from his vantage point on the floor. It seemed that he would be trapped with this view until she removed him later. At least, once he was removed, the spell would reverse itself soon after, returning him to his normal body again before transporting him back home to safety. For now, he would need to bear the odd perspective and pungent stink. Silently, he cursed the witch for putting him here, leaving him helpless to undo the spell on his own. At the very least, he could make the best of it and complete his mission, gathering intelligence on the evil queen’s plans.
He watched and listened as she finished dressing, slipping on a pair of sandals, and placing a crown upon her head. Then, there was the strange sensation of her lifting her foot up and placing it down again on the ground for a moment. He felt the air rush past him, felt the pressure of the toe he was wrapped around being distorted by her weight shifting onto and away from her foot as she walked.
More than disgust or discomfort, he felt awe at the sensation of her moving with him on her toe. Compared to him, she was so huge, so massive, so powerful. As much as he tried to ignore the sensations he was experiencing, he was unable to turn his attention from her. She was his world at the moment. All of his senses were attuned to her and her alone. He felt that he should fear her or despise her, but there was something in that power that enthralled him, like witnessing a volcano erupt or feeling a powerful storm toss around a ship at sea. She was a force of nature, and he was unable to do anything but wonder at the immense danger she represented.
It was only after she had sat down at a table that he was able to turn his attention to something besides her. He listened as a meeting began. The queen’s generals discussed war plans, troop movements, and secret weaponry. Will listened carefully for what felt like hours, trying to remember as much as he could so that he might share these secrets with the generals of his home kingdom. After the queen had heard all and shared her orders, the meeting ended, and once more he was enthralled by the sensation of her walking back to her private quarters.
When she sat down at her table and started removing her jewelry, he felt relief that she would be taking him off. Soon, he would be back to normal and back home, again.
The queen’s enormous fingers gripped his metal body and slipped him off her toe. She held him up between her finger and thumb and gazed through the opening his body formed. Then, to his surprise, she placed him down in a jar instead of her jewelry box. He watched her screw a lid on the jar and carry him in it over to a cabinet. She opened the doors to the cabinet, revealing a small altar with odd crystals and herbs arranged around an intricate magical circle. After lighting a few candles, the queen set the jar and him down in the center of the circle and stepped back.
Will felt his body start to transform again. He wished he could stop it, so that the queen would not see it happening. However, he was powerless to do anything to avoid it. He felt himself thickening up and reshaping into human form. As he returned to flesh, the curve of his body straightened out. He grew larger. Soon, he could touch the sides of the jar with his toes and fingers. He sat up and stood up. Worriedly, he watched the jar seem to close in around him as he expanded within it, but his growth halted when his head touched the top of the jar. As if to indicate that his transformation was complete, the comparatively giant white gold toe ring reappeared at his feet. Now, only inches tall and trapped in a jar, he hoped that he would transport out of there back to safety.
Nothing happened, though. He had returned to human form, but he was tiny now, like a doll. It would seem that the queen had stopped him from returning to his normal size and blocked him from transporting to freedom. The queen lifted up the jar again and grinned malevolently at him, like a cat with a mouse in its paws.
“Did you think I would not notice you, little spy?” she asked as she unscrewed the jar lid.
Will cowered in the jar as her thick fingers gripped him around the waist and lifted him out, holding him up before her face. The size of her features terrified him. He was not even as tall as her head and was dangling helplessly far above what seemed like a deadly fall to the floor. She set down the jar and took a seat on a chair.
“What shall I do with you now?” she asked, speaking to herself more than to him. “I could feed you to the cat. I might put you back in the jar and watch you suffocate slowly. Or, I could keep you for myself. You could be my loving little pet.”
“I’m not a pet,” Will retorted, finding courage enough to resist her despite how gigantic she was. “And, I would never feel anything but hate for you, witch. Do your worst!”
She smirked and said, “Are you so sure?” She held him out in front of her and let him go, dropping him to the floor.
Will screamed but landed without any pain. It would seem that he had only fallen a few feet after all, despite how far it seemed from his perspective. Before he had a chance to stand up and run, The queen’s enormous foot hovered above him and lowered down on him, pressing him down to the carpet beneath her sole. Her foot was so large that it covered his entire body, leaving only his head poking out just beyond her toes.
“Shall I crush you now?” she asked him.
He grunted, feeling the weight increasing. Panic got the better of him, and he whimpered a shaky, “No!”
“Kiss my toes,” she ordered him.
“What?”
“Kiss my toes or die, worm!” The pressure increased again.
Feeling that his body would be crushed if he did not, he kissed her giant toe. He expected to have to struggle against the smell and taste of her foot, but it surprised him that he was not as bothered by it as he had been as a toe ring. In fact, it was almost pleasant now.
“Again,” she said.
Will kissed another toe, which seemed to taste even better on his lips. He kissed it again without being prompted. Then, she started licking, wanting to get the delicious taste of her toe all over his tongue. Somehow, the more he tasted it, the more he loved the flavor of it. Soon, all he could think of was how incredible her foot was, how much he wanted to keep licking and sucking on her toes for as long as he could.
The queen lifted her foot up off of him. As soon as his hands were free, he gripped her big toe and held on, letting himself rise up with her foot until he was standing again. All the while, he kept on kissing and licking and sucking. Suddenly, she jerked her foot upwards, making him lose his grip. He jumped, trying to reach it, but she held her foot up tantalizingly high. He turned and ran to her other foot, but she lifted that one up onto the chair with her.
“Please,” he begged and whimpered. “I need more. More!”
“Does my poppet love the taste of my stinky toes?” she asked, taunting him.
“Yes!” he cried. “Please, let me taste more. I love it. I love it more than anything.”
She smiled and said, “So then, you love me?”
“I do,” he said, feeling something breaking within him. “I love you. I want you. Please, let me show my love for you, your highness.”
The queen hesitated a moment to watch him lust after her toes, helplessly. Then, she lowered her foot back down to the floor, and Will got down on all fours to start licking and sucking on her toe, like a thirsty dog with its snout in a bowl of water.
He was so enamored with the tastiness of her toe that he did not notice his body transforming again. He had been trying to fit her whole toe in his mouth, but he was too small at first. Then, his mouth began stretching wider and wider, until he could wrap his lips all the way around the toe. With his mouth finally filled with her delicious digit, his life felt complete. He wanted nothing more than to remain there, tasting her until the end of time. With no more need for a body to move himself anywhere else, his body shrank towards his head, and his flesh became more solid and metallic. His innards became like a single straight line, a single tube of metal, which grew wider and wider until her toe was visible all the way through his body up to his mouth. Then, the toe began to poke out through him as what remained of him formed a circle of metal around it. Despite losing his humanity altogether, he never lost his senses. If anything, his sense of smell and taste only increased as his body became just a mouth formed into a loop around her toe.
When his transformation was complete, Will was a simple toe ring again, lost in eternal pleasure as he sucked endlessly on the queen’s toe. She pulled him off of her toe, and he wanted to beg her to put him back. He felt incomplete and hollow without her toe inside of him.
“Don’t worry, little one,” she said, soothing him. “I’ll put you back on again, later. I’ll wear you every day, so you can enjoy my foot as it gets sweaty and stinky. For now, rest and dream of me.” She set him in her jewelry box and shut the lid.
That night, as Will’s former allies back home wondered and worried about what had become of him, Will dreamed of his beloved queen’s toe and hoped his wait to taste it again would be short.
