Package status and some FAQs

January Packages
The $5 and $10 level have all shipped out, and now we are prepping the $20 level. The $20 level will come along with February inside one mailer.
FAQ: What are the 4 cards that look like this?
A few months back, we mailed out Count of Nine and there were 4 misprint cards. These are the corrected cards. Some of you may have joined after the initial Count of Nine Went out so you will not have the rest of the game. You can either disregard these cards, or if you are interested in the full game, we'll find a way to make the rules and the other 5 cards available. It's just a little ways out in our schedule as we are catching up on everything else here with no staff except family (see above photo!).

FAQ: I didn't receive the Count of Nine cards, but should have.
We only sent them to $10+ patrons as that is who would have received the initial Count of Nine game. A bunch more went out because it's faster and sometimes even cheaper just to send them all than to try and figure out who gets them and who shouldn't. Some may have changed their pledge as well and are no longer a $10+ patron. If you didn't get the corrected cards in your January package and should have, please contact us at buttonshyhelp@gmail.com with the following information. Name, address, and mention that you didn't get the Count of Nine corrected cards.
February Packages

FAQ: Why is the February postcard game so thin?
You'll notice that our postcard game Cityline is WAAAAAY thinner than our usual postcard games. The reason is because 1) this was a replacement due to our original Jan/Feb packages getting stuck in China and it had to be rushed here using a different service, and 2) because it was a roll & write style game and we wanted to make it on a UV coated postcard so that you can use a very thin dry erase marker on it. That doesn't work as well with our normal thick postcards.
If you don't use a thin dry erase, the game will be in the dropbox over the next few days so that you can print your own for multiplayer games, or simply just larger games. You'll be able to print it at a larger size, if you wanted.
Hopefully the thinner postcard didn't get too beat up during the delivery. The postcard usually holds the package nice and stiff. We don't intend to use thin postcards as a base in the future, only as a special extra item like the Tussie Mussie scorecards,

Unfortunately, my whole envelope got beaten up pretty badly! So much so, I can't keep any of the paper stock, and the only thing that didn't get crushed or water-damaged are the Earthshine cards and vinyl wallet!

A Court of Nine question: I presume that the target building that you set aside at the beginning is also available for purchase. I don’t see it mentioned in the rules after the initial mention.

I played Cityline this morning. The top of the scoring section says “one of a kind types (1 point each)” and “duplicate types (3 points each pair)”, but I don’t see anything about that in the actual rules. I’m not sure how to score.

I'm a little confused on The Secondmost Perfect Moment. Is it an expansion? It comes with a complete rulebook, and solo rules, but only has 6 cards included, so I am not sure if I was supposed to get the full set of cards or if the rulebook is included accidentally or what. Thanks!

Question: The Perfect Moment Time Travel Gone Wrong sheet is blank on the backside. Is that by design or is there supposed to be instructions on the back like the other expansions?

I have some questions about the Street in NyteLyfe: 1) Does the card in the street count as the highest card if it's tied in rank with another? 2) Does the card in the street get compared to facedown cards? (I assume not) 3) The rules for the street say to turn cards "to their other side" instead of "facedown", does this mean that a high card in the street will flip upside down cards right-side up again?

It’s in the March package. Everything from January was bumped to March since the cards were already being printed in China but held. So the 12 for 2020 will instead be 12 months from March 2020 to February 2021.

As for China, we’ve ordered cards from the same factory in China for 6 years and never had a delay until the coronavirus issue at the end of January. I’ve placed orders since then with no issues as well (the order i placed yesterday is arriving here on May 8th). We get 1000 decks printed and air shipped here in just over 2 weeks. Nothing in the US can get us that many cards that quickly and they can’t match the paper stock l, linen finish and corner cuts for our existing games that are being reprinted / expanded. With that in mind, our wallets, rules, postcards and everything else comes from the US and a few of our bigger games (like Tussie Mussie and most Sprawlopols) we have the cards printed in US too. But with our monthly deadlines, that 2 week turnaround is crucial - as you can see since the coronavirus shut them down and we’re now two months behind.

Hey Todd, there is a new chain mail character card in all 2020 packages (correction March 2020-February 2021 - they were shifted because Jan/Feb was held in China). Aside from that we will have much of the 2019 stuff available on our site and we are making version 2.0 this year. It’ll be a single release with mostly reused but improved stuff from the 2019 packages.

Few questions. Is Chain Mail no longer in the BGOTM packages from here on out? Quite the bummer I only got 2 months worth. Secondly, any update on Garage Sale shipments? I ordered a few BGOTM packs hoping their might be some CM stuff in there I could use with my 2 months. Third, why on earth do you get printing done in China? There are countless printers stateside that can do pretty much print everything I've seen in my packs. Ive had a few game things printed at frontrunner with fabulous results. Just looking at it logically stateside printed could prevent potential delays in receiving components for packs.
