Seasons of Rice is live on Kickstarter! Here are your discount details

But anyway, the May packages are starting to ship today. $20 supporters, expect a post here asking for your game choice. The next packages after this should be shipping in a few weeks as we are waiting on 2 items and rules to arrive. The light at the end of the tunnel is that we will have all cards for 2019 packages in hand by the end of next month. That gives us lots of time to focus on getting the rules in, and the packages out.
Now that this Kickstarter is live, I can shift my focus to some things here.

So what's the game all about?
In Seasons of Rice, Corry Damey’s 18-card tribute to his Cambodian heritage, players are farmers puzzling together field cards to expand their family’s “landscape” of rice paddies and ensure the most bountiful of harvests.
Players will be drafting cards and placing them into their expanding landscape area to close off paddies in order to score the most points by the end of the game.
A player-specific “ancestor,” representing the guiding spirit of a revered forebear, will also award that player additional points for achieving certain conditions.

Ok ... sorry it’s me again. Hi! I changed my mind and decided to go with the collection with the box so I pledged at the BGOTM $1 level and adjusted the dollar amount down by $5 to $40 was that right? lol I promise I normally do not have a need for constant approval in my daily life. I’m just a little confused. I full pledged last month and realized too late I didn’t need to.

If you only want a box, pledging at the BGOTMC level for $1, then adding a box from the site (as explained in the first update) is a good way to go.

You will get the game as a feature game in a future month. However, you're welcome to get additional copies through the Kickstarter. Do do so, pledge in the BGOTMC level and then adjust your pledge up to the appropriate dollar amount.

Note: I'm not official or anything. I am just very sick all the time and the days I have some concentration I play buttonshy games a lot.

I have the PnP crafted and have created a simple solo variant that I quite like. It does mean that the couple ancestors that depend on opponent actions are ones I redraw and shuffle back in. Otherwise I have my opponent remove/choose cards randomly whenever a human opponent was. As things stand, this variant cannot right now use either expansion offered in the KS. I've played 30-some games this far and tracking results to look for imbalance but haven't found any yet.

I should have listed that in the text. We've been doing it in the images lately and I didn't realize it. It's 2P only. There's a chance down the line that Corry will share some of his solo thoughts, but I wanted to keep it at it's best player count. We've got lots of solo coming. :)
