February packages (and other things)
🕑 Added 2017-02-27 12:07:36 +0000 UTC Hey everyone! I'm going to start this off by saying February is too short. It's gone already and I have spent the whole month packing and mailing games. Trying desperately to get ahead here and then a short month comes and makes that harder.Here's where we are with everything. February is running late and will likely go out around the end of the second week of March. We're still working on getting through the last few monthly Wallet Games of 2016 and I truly feel that once they are behind us, time will magically open up. One more week of Ahead In The Clouds, then two weeks of Universal Rule and two weeks of January Trio and everything is out. That's optimistic, but I really hope we can get through this before March disappears too.
Quick status on everything.
Jan $20 subscribers - If you haven't gotten yours, it's going out now. You'll get the Ahead In The Clouds extras that didn't make the last packages and those of you that wanted Universal Rule will get it in a separate mailing. It's a little later than planned and we'll ship it separately. Also if you haven't received your t-shirt as of yet, please message me with your size. We're due for a big order and I'd like to have it in this week.
Everyone else - If you were a subscriber before Jan 1st, you should have received a January package by now. If you were a subscriber before February 1st, we owe you a February package when they arrive. If you subscribed in February, your first package will be March which will *hopefully* be out by the end of March. We also have some stock on previous months (as people have been asking patiently) and as soon as time gives in for a minute, I'll get them up and available to order.
Otherwise, things have just been very tight lately. Pentaquark was a tough fulfillment and with this monthly thing going, we can't just put it on pause. I can assure you that I'm working real hard to get it caught up though.
And since this is the Board Game of the Month Club (not the Whine About Being Behind Club, here's a game! It's a Roll and Write game that I put together while at work this week (SHHHH!). It's called Blood Royals. A two player game that's on a single page, that can be split in two. It requires a writing utensil and 6 dice. It's just a prototype, but if you try it out, let me know how it goes. It's being balanced and tested as we speak. It's also temporary art and layout.

Hi, I first backed in January, but still have not received a February package, or March package. Have all the February and March packages been sent already or are more on the way?

I'm hoping we get caught up soon too. I've actually been talking to some people who are willing to help get things moving around here, and some are from right here too. There are just so many moving parts on a single month, and if one gets delayed, the entire package gets delayed. It took me a good 20 ,minutes just to make a list of everything that needs to be accounted for. No excuses, just sharing the process!

FWIW, my February package arrived today. Given the estimate here of them shipping around the end of the second week of March, I suspect they're still running a bit behind. Hopefully the March packages won't be delayed too much longer, and the backlog will be cleared soon (I'm still waiting on my year-end sale item from the Hot Dogs Kickstarter, for example.)

You can use three months at a time during the campaigns. And you can use the current and the next two months all at once so you don't have to skip and build up months in advance.

Question regarding the wallet game discounts: Can the monthly discounts be stacked, so we could potentially get all three KS games at a discount during the quarterly campaigns? For instance, I became a patron in January, so could I just hold off on using my discount until the April campaign and use it three times at that time? Or does the discount "expire" each month?

Hot Dogs is the little forgotten child around here. It had so few backers that it's like a dream fulfillment right now. Everything is here except the rules, which I expect at the same time as Universal Rule. I expect it to take like a day to fulfill, but that day will have to follow Universal Rule. We're looking at a few weeks at this point.

Thanks for the reply. I was going to edit my post, but since you replied already, I'll make a new one. :) Your brief timeline estimate covered Ahead in the Clouds, Universal Rule, and the January trio, but shouldn't Hot Dogs be in there, too? I pledged for a year-end sale item during that Kickstarter, so I'm curious about when its fulfillment is expected. Thanks.

You got it. :) We converted to quarterly campaigns to give some breathing room here, but we're still mailing the last few monthlies of 2016 so we can't actually use the effects of quarterlies to our benefit. Ideally, everything is ready here and we order on the first of the month when we know how many we need to order. That would get everything here and ready to go out by mid month. I just need time OR a project manager to get us there. :)

Thanks for the update. I've only been here a little while, so I'm trying to get a sense of the general plan. It sounds like that's to get each month's package out by the end of the month (so it arrives by early the following month), but with how busy the end of 2016 was, things have been delayed a bit.
