Aqua ROVE (Featured Wallet Game)

Sometimes even the familiar can be alien. As a ROVE (Results-Oriented Versatile Explorer) you are accustomed to the rigors of space, but the impenetrable darkness of the ocean depths is a brand-new challenge to confront.
Aqua ROVE is a standalone entry in the ROVE series. In this solo spatial puzzler, the player must complete missions by using their movement cards to align ROVE’s modules in the proper pattern. Each module has a unique one-time ability that can give ROVE a much-needed boost at a key moment. As ROVE travels further, efficient use of movement points and module abilities becomes paramount to achieve success.
Experienced ROVE players will notice that there are a few changes in Aqua ROVE. For one, movement cards no longer provide generic points that are limited by the modules’ movement restrictions. Instead, each card provides both the points and the direction of movement, providing a major twist to the original gameplay. All modules have been replaced with new abilities to match this change. However, each pattern now requires two specific fixed modules to complete rather than one. And as befits an ocean adventure, ROVE’s missions are now placed vertically rather than horizontally to create a beautiful panorama of your descent.

ROVE: Tourist Traps
1 Player - Expansion to ROVE
A ROVE’s exploratory nature causes no end of trouble. These curious little bots are suckers for even the most humdrum attractions. With a near-infinite number of alien worlds to visit, every ROVE is guaranteed to get stuck in a tourist trap eventually!
This 6-card expansion for ROVE introduces new Movement cards which remove the bonus movement points for matching a specific pattern. Instead, each of these new cards require you to move a specific Module, using at least one of the card’s movement points, before using the rest for any movement you like.

ROVE: Dive Mode
1 Player - Expansion to ROVE
Nothing can stop a ROVE from its task. Once they reach the shore, it’s time to activate their aquatic descent protocols and continue their mission!
Dive Mode is a 1-card amphibious expansion that combines the core ROVE game with Aqua ROVE. Once you’ve completed a normal game of ROVE, place this card over your last mission to initiate Dive Mode, then continue your game using the Aqua ROVE rules and cards. If you can manage to complete 7 Missions of each, you’ve earned the title of Ultimate Amphibious Explorer!

Hi! I did email them as well and they answered that only the featured wallet game with linked expansions can be swapped. They are awaiting an answer if they consider these expansions linked. In my mind I would consider them linked. They had the kickstarter for all of this together. Thanks!

I think it’s only the main game that can be swapped. I will have the same issue. A new promo would have been better.

Is it possible to swap out the Archers expansion for something else? I already picked up the Sedlec Expansion Pack 3 over on Gamefound in the reprint and would like to avoid an unusable duplicate expansion.

Hello - I purchased the Kickstarter of Aqua ROVE, ROVE: Tourist Traps, and ROVE: Dive Mode which I believe is estimated to ship in August. I have already swapped out Aqua Rove via the form. Is there any possibility to swap out the two expansions for maybe two other expansions? Thank you!

Any chance of getting some fresh stuff swapped out on the alternate list? I love what’s coming this month but sometimes I need to swap out and the current list has grown a bit stale. Love Button Shy Games. Also the odd Button Shy sicker chucked in will allow me to label my ammo boxes where I store my Button Shy games in. Thanks for hearing me out!
