The April 2024 Preview is here. Well almost.

Before we get into the April Preview, here's a quick March update. It was planned to start shipping today, but the wallets came in this week with a print issue (not our fault) and so did the rules (partially our fault - something looked right on the proof but once we got it in hand it wasn't what we expected). It rarely happens for either, but somehow both had issues. It'll take about two weeks to get everything here and moving so we'll be shipping this one out late. Apologies as we run this very tight to the end of the month, and a printing snag like this will set us bank into the next.
Anyone onto April. I say this is almost a preview for a few reasons. We've been working really hard on the timelines to get things in and out the door on time and it's been working VERY WELL with the exception of unplanned print errors as seen above. But we have not been working on the communication side of things. With the overhaul here we could keep things moving well, or communicate well, but not do both so we leaned on keeping things moving. But now that they are moving, I'm looking towards the better communication.
Part of that is having the preview out around the 22-27th ish of each month. We missed that here, but it's because we started setting up a plan to get the whole team on these. In order to do a preview I need the contents card, the cover images , the gameplay example images, the flavor intro text, and the gameplay text. We don't have all of that yet for the April games. We have some of it though, and I'm going to post what we have and skip what we don't. Working hard to have that stuff for May with the shifts we are doing internally.

Cortiça (Featured Wallet Game)

Cork (Cortiça, in Portuguese. /kuɾˈti.sɐ/) can be used to make a variety of products and Portugal is the world's largest productor of cork. Cork Oak trees take 25-30 years to mature, and their bark is extracted every 9 years. Play as competing farmers, aiming to harvest the most corks.
Every turn the players will shuffle the five actions and make a line of four. Those actions can have one or two spaces in which the players will place their workers.
The actions are resolved from left to right, up to down. When an action is resolved the worker goes in a stack. On the next turn, the players will draw and place the workers from the stack, one by one.
Super Slopes: Snow Report

(Yes that's the BGG description. And it's accurate, but it's the perfect example of why we need our own writing completed before we post these previews. Next month!)
Battlecrest Metronn Imperator II Solo Mode
The Imperator II solo expansion enables gameplay for one player to play as any hero against any other hero using these 6 solo Command cards and that hero’s AI rules insert. You can play these on their own, or combined with the original Imperator cards that were released in our first campaign (and are now available in Battlecrest: Expansion Collection #1).
Just remember, we need more images and text for these still, but I wanted to get the information out early and not wait. We hope to do better next time.

Just to check how the t shirt delivery works? I've been a member since Sept 23 but ive not heard anything? Was initially hoping I'd have the t shirt in time for UKGE which is on June 1st...?

Is there any update on the remaining 2023 packages? I'm seeing the new moving pictures game in stock in the Button Shy store, but I haven't gotten that BGotMC package yet.

I'm a BS {Patron), however I haven't done much with the monthly purchases as of late. Do I order games on the website ($18+) and this game is automatically added in? I have super slopes, would like to add the 3 new cards and I need River Mild (base game). Thanks!

Too bad that Super Slopes didn't get picked as one of the reprint games in the recent Gamefound campaign. It's difficult to get excited about an expansion when you can't get the base game.

The Simply Solo games tend to get reprinted when a new Simply Solo game comes to Kickstarter, and with the expansion collection coming I'd be very surprised if that didn't happen with Super Slopes. Edit: I've realised I've not woken up properly this morning - Super Slopes isn't Simply Solo! Regardless I'd be surprised if there wasn't a reprint at some point - expansion collections need an audience after all!

Damn, the Super Slopes expansion will kinda be wasted, I didn't even know about that game and it looks to be out of print now. Hopefully a reprint soon? Also a tad annoying with the Imperator Solo expansion since I'm getting that with the Kickstarter fulfillment and it was before the BGotM tier change, ack.
