Button Shy Games Battlecrest Year 2 is live on Kickstarter! Here's how to pledge for the campaign.
🕑 Added 2023-09-05 12:30:00 +0000 UTCBattlecrest is a card-based tactical skirmish game for 2 players (1-4 with expansions), unlike any other. Year Two expands the game with all new heroes, new abilities such as sacrifice, hurtle, and heal, a new map, and a new solo expansion. With perfect information, players must truly outwit their opponent to win. Players take turns maneuvering their characters around the hazard-filled map while unleashing powerful attacks. As action cards are used they open up new possibilities and empower the character’s battlecrests. Build up to decisive strikes or refocus to get powers back. Every character has a unique set of actions and preferred tactics, so no two battles play the same.

Here's how to pledge at Kickstarter as a US member
For this campaign, we will NOT be using a pledge manager for US backers. You will need to calculate the amount to pledge based on the physical reward you wish to receive and the value of your club discount.
Choose the $1 Board Game of the Month Club Members reward level and adjust your pledge amount by adding bonus support. Find the reward level that you would like in the table below and subtract the discount for your patron level to find out how much to pledge. Kickstarter will add the shipping cost to your pledge. If you want to follow along, but do not want a physical reward, please support the no reward pledge.
Here's how to pledge at Kickstarter as an INTERNATIONAL (non-US) member
For this campaign we will be using Gamefound’s Pledge Manager again. Simply pledge for your chosen reward (make sure you choose the “international” version). Do NOT use the Board Game of the Month Club Members reward. Choose any add-on content you wish to include with your pledge, and you’re all set.
Shipping will be collected in the Pledge Manager, and your club discount will be added using your email address to link your Kickstarter and Patreon support. The items pledged for at Kickstarter will be transferred to your cart in the Pledge Manager and you will be able to finalize the content of your reward there, adding any games from the Button Shy catalog and making an additional payment for content and shipping if required.
When the Pledge Manager opens, if you do not see the credit, we will be able to update it manually; this will most likely happen if your Kickstarter name and email address is different to your Patreon name and email address. Please email buttonshyhelp@gmail.com when the pledge manager opens if you need us to apply the credit to a different Gamefound account.

Metronn: a massive city filled with neon color and alien architecture. In the labyrinth of alleys between districts a grinning sentrybot chases a twisted figure, bent by dark magic. As their battle explodes suddenly in the middle of the street, bystanders run for cover while cameras broadcast every move to giant screens. Finally, a spectacle worthy of Metronn.
The Metronn Base Game includes two heroes, Kaladeos and Exa (and her minion, Sparkles), and the Metronn map. All in just 18 cards, packed in our little wallets. No additional components are needed to play (unless you want to play solo or 3-4 player teams, then read on!)
The Imperator solo expansion is included with all pledges. It enables gameplay for one player to play as any hero against any other hero using these 6 solo Command cards and that hero’s AI rules insert. You can play these on their own, or combined with the original Imperator cards that were released in our first campaign (and are now available in Battlecrest: Expansion Collection #1).
How about some more heroes? With more heroes you can get a lot of variety out of your games. You can also play them in solo (either as or against them) and even play 3-4P team games. There are 2 new additional heroes being offered in this campaign: Griyan and Mub Zane. They will come packaged in their own Expansion Collection wallet.

So if I just joined the Patreon and didn't back the Kickstarter am I too late? The link seems to still work even though the Kickstarter finished.

I'm a $5 BGOTM tier. Do these $ amounts look correct? $1 - Bonus support + $5 Shipping US + $15 Bonus Support = $21 total pledged for the new content. I am also adding the $12 expansion #2 content, so my total pledge right now is $33

I have the same question for playmats. Through kickstarter it looks like it'd be $1 BGotMC tier + $5 shipping (forced) + $25 playmat = $31 instead of the expected $25. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something?

As your subscription includes a wallet game, you don't need to pledge at Kickstarter for anything unless you want the add-ons (play mats, deluxe cards). Just order the $6 upgrade BGotMC upgrade hero pack from the website and we will send it with your club package.

Ok I am an $18 Patreon subscriber and had to clarify. To receive everything new for Battlecrest do I need to click on the BGOTMC link on the Button Shy website and order the 6 dollar item AND pledge the Kickstarter for $13 after my discounts?

So if I calculate the amount I want "Metronn + 2 Heroes" = $17, $5 Patron has a $2 discount, so my pledge should be $15. I put in $15 for a pledge, but when I hit continue (and get to the Add-ons page) I see that it has automatically changed to $5 shipping $9 bonus support. Do I need to increase the bonus support to $15?
