Friday Art Preview - 4/7/23
🕑 Added 2023-04-07 13:01:00 +0000 UTCHi there! This week we are going to do something a little different for our Art Preview. Instead of showing you finished art that will be in the final game, I'll be showing you some prototype cards from the designers' first versions of their games. Then, when we have final art I'll share that with you. That way you can see how the games visually evolve. So let's check it out!
This prototype card is from an upcoming game called Picky Pixie. This game was designed by Elizabeth Hargrave, who designed Tussie Mussie. As you can see from the image above, flowers tend to be a theme among Elizabeth's Button Shy games. This game was the perfect choice to showcase early design because it has so much room to grow. When we have the final art to share, it'll be totally different!
For the art, we are partnering up with Annie Wilkinson. Annie illustrated Food Chain Island for us, and we couldn't be more excited to be working with her again. For this game she will be illustrating the flowers and the cute little Picky Pixie. We will then design the card and layout by our own graphic designer, Filip.
I know this is a very different format from the usual Art Previews, but we hope you're excited to see the journey our games take to get to their final design!
