Love the story definetly do what you feel is best so that you feel good about the story i think just reposting all the full rewritten chapters would be great

Hey Im agree with your chose and personally didn't like this time skip (BTW you skip 5 years or less didn't understand) after the time skip you keep talking about it during few chapter on the Chris pov with some flash back that he didn't want to talk and that is just frustrating, no fun. You maybe could do some little skip with resume like the family and Co do a meeting to talk about what happen this year's and what the objectif for next year's, then little small talk with some teaser maybe and again another years, new meeting but Chang the pov, maybe change the city pov. It could maybe be less rude than *break* x years pass Anna become adult but you need 15 chapter to know what she got, and for finish why the fuck Anna and other child star G rank on a planet D RANK , Anna literally live and grow with soooo much mana her body come from little child to grow as adult body BUT mana isn't doing nothing? her body is nerf to G rank until she get systeme¿¿ she live more time on a mana planet than a planet without mana, and you say G rank is when you don't even know what the mana sense is. Planet without any mana source make G rank people. Anna live 7 years with mana, ALOT OF MANA her family use so much on her, her body was expose to a d rank planet during 5 years and she still G rank, no natural evolution because of mana. There is a firewall of mana, that keep pushing away mana to avoid any natural Evo?? Ps:love your story and love your courage of coming back and change everything gg

Just chiming in to say you are doing a really good job and I absolutely trust your judgement on a rewrite! Pacing is HARD to the point that the most successful fantasy book series in history virtually all have sections their fans call "the slog" and those people aren't writing 750k+ words over the course of a year-ish (well, maybe Sanderson, but even then only in a really productive year). You've really managed to stand out (imo anyway) with a focus on character depth and how you respect their emotions in your writing. If you take that instinct as your True North and focus on having each chapter serve a narrative purpose I think you'll do great (and tbf that narrative purpose can be a chapter or two of "off time" now and then, stories I've read that are all "ON" all the time get old fast). I think your initial plan to have a time skip after the Orc event makes a lot of sense - maybe right after the rewards chapters and you could punctuate the time skip with Vulwin's caravan POV and shop founding POV? Maybe you skip to Chris discovering he doesn't have an Epic Profession option and write about Lakeshore (maybe intentionally indistinct or off-kilter or from others' POVs to reflect Chris not being in his right mind after the trauma of the Obelisk)? Maybe you jump straight to an evolved Chris rushing back for Anna's birthday. Whatever your gut tells you! Your building blocks are still solid and if some trimming will help you in your foundation and execution then go for it! It's your story I'm just the lucky such and such that gets to enjoy reading it!

I congratulate you for listening to your readers and your gut. There has to be a balance and it takes a very humble and wise person to keep said balance. Too much in favor of the readers and the author never advances his or her story, too much in favor of narcissism and the story risks dying. Glad that you reached equilibrium before it was too late. Now... I saw a great timeline designed by a fellow reader on either the previous chapter or the one before that. I suggest adding a lol to that. How you just did one chapter of side characters, why not do a mini arc of a demon or of the lightning lord. 5 to 6 chapters of side characters and then we return to the story with a time skip and a recap that's not an exposition nor a tease like how you've been teasing the whole massacre. How you come up with that? Its beyond me. I understand christ avoiding talking about such traumatic event, but that's why you have countless other characters who should gossip. Show us said gossip. Perhaps a merchant in the middle of building a caravan and asking questions about a potential route heard about what happened....
