The crux of this episode is how Vorin reacted to just the idea of his people being transplanted onto a different planet. He was horrified at the idea. Even at the cost of his people all dying out. THAT is why the Prime Directive exists. And, now, human DNA will perpetually also pollute Boraalan genetics.
