The villain motivations really don't hold up well. He destroys and kills women because he doesn't like feeling bad. Good thing this wasnt real for some really bad shows I've seen. The villain being this slipshod makes the whole episode like fingernails on a chalkboard to get through.

This episode sucks not only is the guest actor uncharismatic but, I don't care about what he's doing, I don't care why he's on the ship, I don't care about the situation he has created, and I'm not worried that anything will be a problem at the end of the show

Boring! The only bright spot was H0rny Aggressive Troi. And WHY is the flagship of the fleet always a mere transport for (1) Badly Needed Medicine to stop a Disease, or (2) A Badly Needed Diplomat to stop a War? Both TOS and TNG were guilty of this. Didn't these out-of-ideas writers have a drawer full of back-up plots? This is a D(umpster fire), but because of Troi's evil therapy session I give it a C.

D-tier only because the I like some of the character moments and I thought the solution was interesting, but otherwise it's another Troi falls in love or in this case used by a guest character.

Essentially forgettable. I didn't remember it by title, and only after skimming the episode twice did I vaguely start to remember it, like "Oh, yeah, this one". Easy C
