Olivia Coleman is such a good comedy actor and much of her early work was comedy.

Thank you, Adam Zey!

Everything is a setup

After all these years, this is legit still one of the absolute top movies when it comes to editing and montage. It's so "edited" that it's overwhelming at moments -- and then you realize they're parodying late 90s / 2000s typical action montage (the pinnacle of which I think we had in "Taken 3" in 2014, where Liam Neeson jumps over the fence and editors put 14 cuts there)

A Who's Who of British comedy even more than you ones you spotted/knew

I love this movie so much. Had a lot of arguments with my friends over which is better between this and Shaun of the Dead.

World's End - is the most intersting Shawn of the Dead - is the funniest Hot Fuzz - is the best written

The sheer number of set ups and pay offs in this movie... If you watch it a 2nd time you'll see an insane number of foreshadowing comments, the set ups you noticed and the playful use of people's names. Example: Sargeant ANGEL of death walking into town on a pale white horse.

PIG

Well I can already see them liking this one.

aw, and today is Nick Frost's birthday!

James Knight

Fun Fact: Sampson, aka Saxon, failed Police Dog Training because he was too nice and so he became an actor instead! =D

Saw this one in theaters multiple times just because of how tight the script was - it was a delight to see how well every set-up paid off. Great perfomances too; Pegg and Frost are a fantastic pairing, and the cast has so many great actors in it (Ed Woodward is such a treat!). One of my all-time top ten. I'm so glad you guys had a good time with it too!

Zee Doctere

Definately one of my favorite intentionally B movies that are really an A or better.

Aramis Calcutt

Did you recognize Timothy Dalton from "Flash Gordon"? I was surprised you didn't comment when he appeared as Prince Barin. He has been in a ton if stuff including as James Bond.

Billy T. Riker

Can't wait to watch this with your reaction, guys. So many hilarious moments, great writing/ directing & flawless execution! My fav line... "He's made himself judge, jury & executioner." "He's not Judge Judy & executioner!"
