Deathwalker is a strong recommendation for a 'one off' B5 episode. If BSG ever wins I hope the winner is just a balls-to-the-wall 'Pegasus' and not a lame s2e01. Just punish them for giving up early.

I liked it at the time, but haven't seen it in 20 years and I'm willing to bet it hasn't aged well. But I do fondly remember willow going apeshit at the end of season 6.

Many have referred to Buffy as a masterpiece, albeit perhaps less often in recent years. The show's had a massive influence on pop culture and is quite often an excellently-written show. The one stipulation I'll put out there is that people who love airtight plots and more literal storytelling have a harder time with it and tend not to think highly of it. For those that elevate character and theme over plot consistency, much of Buffy is a spectacular experience, albeit far from a flawless one. Also, the first season, while it has its charms, it quite rough and not an accurate representation of what the show grows into.

I'm all in for Buffy 4x10 - Hush. An exceptional episode and one that is standalone enough that you don't really need to have seen the more serialized story around it to get what's going on.
