It seems like there is another episode that you haven't watched yet that is very, very similar to this episode. I think that it is a much better episode, so I would have difficulty rating this one really high because of that. There also might be another episode where Troi is sort of taken over by an alien like that, but I can't remember.

THIS is the episode that stole its plot from the early 1988 episode of Red Dwarf entitled "Thanks for the Memory". Of course, in that show it was all played for comedy, although that was one of Red Dwarf's more melancholy episodes which happened in a few of its early episodes. The two episodes are different enough though. That Red Dwarf episode is not remembered for being great -- "the episode was voted by readers ... in a 1992 poll as the 19th best episode of the 30 then existing... This made it the 5th-ranked of (6 episodes in) Series 2's episodes."

Love your love of this episode. This one is an overall favorite of mine for the entire series. It's just so much fun to follow the clues. Next one is also fun so looking forward to see what your thoughts are on that one. Thanks as always. 🖖

Yeah. I think they just that wormhole made some little time shift happen. So this is okay!

I just imagine the next time they get to a starbase or interact with another starship and the crew thinks it’s Tuesday while the rest of the galaxy insists it’s Wednesday.
