Chapter 123: The Galactic King's Decision

In a massive, gyroscope-like structure, the Galactic King, resembling a jellyfish with multiple tendrils, floated serenely on a honeycomb-patterned floor. Nearby, several extraterrestrials in Galactic Patrol uniforms were reporting the recent major events in the galaxy.
"The Icejin forces in the North Galaxy have expanded again, with another 130 planets enslaved. However, Cooler’s faction seems to be in a silent standoff with King Cold’s forces over some issues. Frieza’s faction has been quiet lately, staying within their territory, appearing relatively stable for now…” reported a commander with antennae on his head.
The Galactic King extended his tendrils and said, "The Icejin are a blight on the entire galaxy. And that Slug, how unfortunate it is for the benevolent Namekians to produce such a demon!"
The patrol commander nodded and continued his report, “Galactic King, although the North Galaxy is chaotic, it remains relatively calm overall. However, King Davido of the West Galaxy has been growing increasingly restless, showing signs of expansion!"
Hearing the mention of King Davido, the Galactic King’s expression stiffened, his tone becoming grave. “Ever since King Davido was defeated by King Cold four hundred years ago, he withdrew from the power struggles in the North Galaxy. We expected a period of peace, but now it seems his power has recovered, and he’s causing trouble in the West Galaxy again…”
"The West Galaxy is about to fall into turmoil!" The patrol commander, fully aware of the situation, felt the weight of responsibility growing heavier on his shoulders.
“Alright, assign personnel to keep a close watch on King Davido’s movements. Report immediately if there’s any activity!” the Galactic King ordered. If King Davido or King Cold were to make any moves, the Galactic Patrol wouldn't be able to stop them with their current strength. They could only preemptively evacuate some inhabited planets.
In the worst-case scenario, they might have to seek help from the Kaiōs, hoping they could send some powerful fighters from the afterlife. However, this was a last resort, as the rules of the afterlife strictly prohibit interference in the living world. Seeking help from the Kaiōs was the Galactic King’s final option, a privilege only he could exercise, potentially reaching out to even the Grand Kai.
"By the way, how are the Saiyans doing now? Have they caused any trouble?" the Galactic King asked, shifting the topic. Busy with many affairs, he hadn’t paid much attention to the Saiyans.
The patrol commander flipped through his documents and said, “No, not only have these Saiyans not caused any trouble, but they’ve been incredibly effective. In the past few months, they’ve completed over a thousand missions, with a near-perfect success rate. It’s truly remarkable!”
"Oh!" The Galactic King showed a look of surprise and said, "So... those Saiyans have really become warriors protecting the peace of the galaxy?"
It was no wonder the Galactic King was surprised. The Saiyans had always been notorious, and everyone avoided them. Who would have thought they’d become a force for maintaining peace one day?
"Yes, it’s quite impressive!" The patrol commander’s expression turned a bit peculiar. "Galactic King, perhaps we should consider strengthening our cooperation with the Saiyans."
“Hmm, you have a point!”
The Galactic King placed a tendril on his chin, contemplating deeply.
The galaxy was fraught with difficulties, and as the administrator, the Galactic King found himself alone in the eye of the storm, striving to maintain a balance of interests among various parties. He was desperately in need of forces to uphold peace. If the Saiyans could join in, it might alleviate the urgent situation.
Just then, a patrol communicator ran in from outside the door, stood at attention before the Galactic King, and reported, "Galactic King, we’ve received information from the Saiyans on Planet Red Mountain… Lord Ditongjia and his men trespassed on Planet Red Mountain and have now been captured by the Saiyans."
"The Saiyans have sent a signal requesting verification of Ditongjia and his team's identity!"
"What? Are you saying that Ditongjia's team was captured by the Saiyans?" The nearby patrol commander exclaimed in disbelief upon hearing the report. Each member of Ditongjia's five-person team had a power level exceeding 10,000, making them some of the most elite warriors within the Galactic Patrol. They were always treated with utmost respect, with no room for negligence.
How could such a formidable team be captured by the Saiyans? Do the Saiyans possess such strength?
The Galactic King was equally surprised by this news but quickly regained his composure, pondering, "It seems we still don’t fully understand the Saiyans. However, this might be beneficial. The stronger the Saiyans are, the more advantageous it is for the entire Galactic Patrol organization!"
He realized that the Saiyans had deliberately sent this message not just to verify Ditongjia's identity, but likely to express their dissatisfaction and seek an explanation from the Galactic King.
"Commander, I’m entrusting this matter to you. Request the Saiyans to release Ditongjia and his team. Additionally, deepen the cooperation between the Galactic Patrol and the Saiyans. Be sure to carefully evaluate the missions assigned to the Saiyans... And, Commander, personally go to Planet Red Mountain to handle Ditongjia’s situation!"
"Yes, Galactic King!" The patrol commander responded loudly, fully grasping the Galactic King's intentions.
Since the Saiyans had demonstrated significant strength, the Galactic King planned to fully cooperate with them. Sending the commander personally was a gesture of sincerity from the Galactic Patrol, showing their stance.
…
Planet Red Mountain.
Xavier had just returned from Earth when he sensed five powerful and unfamiliar energies on the planet. As he rushed over, he found five strangers in prison uniforms, shackled and carrying hoes, diligently cultivating the barren land.
These five were tall and sturdy, making excellent laborers.
“Who are those people, and why are they doing hard labor?” Xavier casually asked a few people nearby.
“Lord Xavier!” The Saiyans, upon seeing Xavier, responded loudly and excitedly, then explained Ditongjia and his team's identities and the circumstances. Xavier nodded after hearing the explanation, surprised that such events had occurred during his absence from Planet Red Mountain.
He looked at Ditongjia’s group with pity. Clearly, these individuals were not very bright, but they were indeed hardworking!
“Since their identities have been verified, let them go. The message has been conveyed, keeping them any longer serves no purpose…” Xavier shook his head. Since they had been punished, it was time to release them.
“Yes, sir!” The Saiyan guards immediately straightened up and responded loudly. They walked over, unlocked the shackles on Ditongjia and his team, and escorted them to retrieve their spaceship.
As they regained their spaceship and piloted it away from Planet Red Mountain, Ditongjia and his team were overwhelmed with emotion. They trembled as they touched the familiar control panels, vowing never to return to Planet Red Mountain. The Saiyans were like demons.
Unable to win in a fight or escape, these once-proud galactic warriors had been reduced to tilling the wilderness. If word of this got out, how could they ever boast of their strength to their former comrades?
Leaving Planet Red Mountain and fleeing far away, they vowed to avoid the Saiyans at all costs!
This was the shared resolve of Ditongjia, Jack, and their team. They never wanted to see a Saiyan again.
