Seasons - Weather Affects Mood More
🕑 Added 2021-02-25 05:35:07 +0000 UTCNothing can affect a person mood like weather, and if you live in a place where the weather is shit 364 days / year, you know how much rain and cloudy weather can put you in a bad mood...
In The Sims, everything affects mood, even taking a poop, but weather... I mean, it does but, very little, and only in some cases... I guess adding a more detailed system would have been logic, and that's against Maxis policy.
With this mod, there will be the chance of weather having a bigger impact on your sims mood:
Sims can be sad, happy or bored when it's raining;
They can be sad when it's cloudy;
They can be angry or happy when it snows (not only when they see the first snow), children will be energized anticipating snow fun;
They can be happy or energized when sunny.
The moods are random, it's not like they will always be mathematically sad when it rains, but it can happen. Gloomy sims have a higher chance of being sad from rain and clouds, and are less likely of being happy from sun. Children and teens will have a higher chance of being bored when raining. Active sims will have a higher chance of being energized by sun. Mermaids are immune to the rain buffs, and vampires can't have the sunny buffs. How likely they are to be affected from weather depends also on their weather preference. A sim that loves rain will not get sad from it, and so on.

This mod now includes Seasons - Reactions and Run Inside
If you have it, please remove it. I reworked the scared buff from storms (when inside) in here to be random, so adults can be scared by storms but.... not always, and not always all of them. They'll not run inside though.

is it possible to add an option to love/hate cloudy weather or clear skies? seems weird to me that's the only weather type you can't have an opinion on haha

I need to see how they get that buff, because they don't get it the same way as humans.

Would it be possible to include pets in this? Bc I've been playing in brindleton bay which is more stormy than other worlds and the pets always have orange moodlets and are hiding under the bed. Kind of pointless because it's a cats and dogs world. it'd be better if it was more random, not every time
