SE - Reduced Random Positive Moods from Sentiments
🕑 Added 2020-12-29 21:23:39 +0000 UTCI know a lot of people are eager for this system to be added to mods and whatever... the moment I saw it, I knew I'd probably ended up hating the shite out of it... that moment has come. I'm done with my sims being playful, happy, inspired or whatever the shit all time because of this annoying system... so I reduced it. In case someone else is annoyed like me from it, here you go. They'll still get them but I added the possibility for the loot that runs and gives the buff to do nothing at all, for once, instead of giving one of the buffs all times. This is a moderate attempt to stop it. Let's see how long it will be before I completely remove the sentiments.
By the way:
Negative sentiments are untouched.
Special sentiments like the ones they get doing stuff together (hiking, festivals, party etc) are untouched.
Only the more common generic ones are modified.

meaningful stories is probably the only mod I can't play without... I had half idea of almost removing moods from the game (meaning turning them all into FINE). Everything maxis does revolves around moods like they were the best thing after sliced bread, they're not... they're the most annoying system ever in a sim game.

Yea the sentiments are nice and I like the idea behind it but I'm just tired of whole random buffs/moods/emotion system in general. It would be ideal if sims could be neutral with a neutral expression the majority of the time. And strong emotions and expressions should happen occasionally. But this is CONSTANT grinning/pouting/angry/sad/inspired/ whatever all the time. And without meaningful stories mod they flip flop through them constantly. π
