And I share the sentiment with passion. I disabled the shit out of it, but since I don't like to have useless things just sitting there, I also replaced it with Pet Friendly.
Get influence by interacting with Pets, the Paperbag is gone.

I think the ideas for the laws are to make fun of stupid real life laws that get passed or at least on the books, or have been on the books for years. So they came up with intolerably stupid ones that were still clean for teens (we all may adultify - mod it the hell up, but it is marketed as a teen game) and also taught the good and bad things about political systems. But they had to come up with intolerably dumb ones to MAKE YOU have to vote in order to change them to stop them. Otherwise you would not participate in those game features.

I don't know if they find it actually funny... They just don't understand the ironic, quirky and sometimes dark humor the sims used to have... They're desperately trying to be politically correct because people jump at your throat whatever you say, now... Or their boss is Homer Simpson... I also don't know what would worry me the most.
