Seasons - Reactions and Run Inside
🕑 Added 2020-06-06 02:32:21 +0000 UTCSeasons is the most annoying EP since The Sims 2 in my opinion... and while testing the new EP I got finally fed up with it, so I removed a couple of things that I find just annoying:
The tense buff for blizzards and thunderstorms (left only the sad one for toddlers, I may give it back to children in a future update)
The autonomous Run Inside
Every single stupid reaction to weather, including the First Snow, Rain Start and the Route Events (the stupid animations they do at random while walking)
Because I hate this kind of shit, is annoying, and disturbs my gameplay... I don't think it's cute or funny at all.
Behave like normal people do!
This doesn't affect pets.
Only children and occasionally teens react to weather. Elders will only react annoyed or neutral to rain, teen and children react to first snow. Only children have the tense buff and only children and toddlers are pushed to run inside. Hopefully this will make children feel more like children (since they don't, if adults behave like children)
UPDATES:
11/27 removed the tense buff for adults when inside, too. Sims will now be less likely to go outside on bad weather days.

Fun fact โ with the latest patch, Carefree Sims are now scared of thunderstorms. ๐คจ Iโll be adding this mod ASAP.

And here I used to activate the "Carefree" trait on all my sims SOLELY to prevent them from freaking out and running away in thunderstorms. Than you for preserving some of my sanity!

Hello! Would you ever consider adding trait related conditions as an addon in the future? During rain/snow storms for example, Childish and Paranoid sims could keep the tense moodlet (along with the increased push to run inside), while Self-Assured sims on the other hand, could have a chance to receive a confident moodlet. Heck, maybe even an increased nudge to run outside in the midst of it all could be something. During regular rain/snow, the run outside motivators could be similar to vanilla, but only for Loves Outdoors (+Child of the Ocean?) sims. Gloomy sims could be negatively affected by the rain, Squeamish sims could be uncomfortable when lightning strikes, etc. Now, I haven't gotten past opening sims to just mess around in CAS in a while, so my memory may be a bit foggy on remembering if any of those already exist. My apologies ahead of time in case one of these already do! I'd love to see this expanded in some way, but if not no worries. <3 The behavior changes based on age seem like a great way to start adding more depth to Seasons, rather than everything just being repetitious and lifeless annoyances. Yeah, the reactions are the same, they're just tested. The children only one keeps it for children. It doesn't get rid of the moods for stormchaser

Thank you for this annoyance-stomping mod! Quick question: does this mod also do away with moodlets and reactions for Sims who have declared weather preferences/dislikes?

Toddlers gets sad with thunderstorms. I could make it related on personality traits but I actually prefer not to have adults scared by thunderstorms for gameplay reasons (I hate when they run inside leaving their children to run inside alone that's not what a parent would do, but I had poor toddlers left alone to run inside when the parents where already inside and keep putting down the kid to run back inside. At which point I killed them)

Not every adult scared of thunderstorms, I love them actually but toddlers more scared of thunderstorms than Children and adults.
