GF - Celebrities Quarantined In Del Sol Valley
🕑 Added 2019-10-08 08:59:06 +0000 UTCEven though I thought I got rid of them, I was still getting celebrities all around the place and random townies.... so I used the Maxis method (with some improvements) to keep the Strangerville infected sims in Strangerville, to quarantine celebrities in Del Sol Valley...
Venues with specific lot traits will not be affected.
Let me know if some venue escaped the quarantine or if you still see them outside their town, in that case I'll make the filter stronger... at this point they want war.
This will not stop the randoms though... I found another mod for that.

Did you update it for the last patch? This problem was fixed a couple of days ago.

I'm trying to find a way to do it without editing all the filters in game. This one includes a lot of files, but I didn't use the filters (filters would need to be updated almost every patch).

When you get the chance, it would be great to see this with Sulani sims/Mermaids - they're everywhere in my game, lol. It's disconcerting to see mermaids in grass skirts showing up in Granite Falls or Brindleton Bay. It would be amazing to have this all in one mod, so players can tune it based on which maps they want to lock down - keep vamps in forgotten hollow, keep Sulani Mermaids on the island, keep celebs in Del Sol, etc.. ❤❤❤

To some extent is possible. They're always going to escape a bit, but it's possible to make it less likely to meet them in worlds that are not their own... Strangerville sims, Islanders and now mages are an example.. Sulani and the magic residential world have filters that can be used and applied to the other regions as well. Making a mod and maintaining it would be huge work with tuning. A script mod could do it, I think. I can't script and I'm not really in a rush to get into python again. Btw, thanks!

I've always wondered if there was a way to keep certain sims locked in their own region. Is it possible to keep Oasis Springs peeps in Oasis springs? Windernburg in Windenburg and etc? Like actually make the worlds, ya know, actual cities to meet peeps rather than them coming to you. O.o I mean if you think about it, Windenburg is like freaking Europe... Lol I dunno, just curious. LOVE YOUR MODS AND EVERYTHING YOU DO~!! <3

it going to affect less the celeb that live in other worlds, but still quite a lot since I set the filter quite high.

Sorry, but what does "Less." means when it's first in a post like that? Find it hard to translate to something in my language. Sometimes I feel not so skilled in English. I mean I know the word, but not like that way. 😅

Less. It's a region filter. Not going to happen that they disguise by maxis, they programmed celebrities to be annoying and popup everywhere

Will it affect celebrities living in other worlds as well? I would like it if celebrity out in the world would get disguised, and if their own world with maybe a custom reward trait like familiar, they while in their hometown won't get all those fans, if the fans are from same town. Only sims from other worlds will act like fans if having that trait. But I guess that would need something to make all Sims prefer their hometown, and not travel around as much as they do, if maybe not having some traveler trait that makes them more likely to spending time in other worlds. Or if they simply just visiting friends and families. Well, just sitting here and thinking about things. Once I tweeted with a guru in a discussion about similar issues. And he seemed to like the idea with a traveler trait. I really hope it comes in an update. And when Sims are out you are not playing with at the moment, it would be more fitting if they more often were out on community lots together with actual friends and family. It's so many things could be fixed. So thankful about you modders fixing so many things making the game much more fun and interesting.

and when they pass as walkbies or hang out at the park... well they learned the lesson because Strangerville sims are restricted even where they shouldn't need to.

I really hated how I would go to a club and some celebrity comes in and ruins the entire atmosphere because everyone stops what theyre doing to stare at the celeb. Its really annoying and creepy as hell.
