City Living - Less Annoying Neighbors
🕑 Added 2019-09-30 01:36:14 +0000 UTCMaxis loves to put in game annoying features, and then push them to extreme levels. Apartments are unplayable for a number of reasons, one of them are the neighbors always at your sims door... You cook? Here comes one of them. Play guitar? Guess what.... here comes the neighbor. Or just because they're bored and feel like breaking your balls. Keyholders coming in 3 times a day. And if you have a Sim with some special trait like Foodie or Erratic you're doomed. This mod should tone it down drastically.
And now, fuck off Lily Feng.
I'm testing a similar mod on normal residential lots for visitors as well.

As far as I can tell from the TDESC, there's no "timeout" element in SchedulingZoneDirector's class (the difference I spotted between your CML and Maxis's). Maybe there needs to be a cooldown buff, and the weight modifier is set to 0 if anyone in the ActiveHousehold has that buff?

I gave this mod a whirl, and unfortunately it doesn't seem to effect the noisy neighbor situations. At least, not in a noticeable way. I waited about a sim week, and the frequency of those situations didn't seem to go down. I would still get them at least once per day, sometimes twice.

Should make it way less frequent. You need to wait one day for it to become active though.

Does this adjust the noisy neighbors? It's so frustrating to have my sims woken up every time they try to sleep

It makes me wonder if they really do these things on purpose. Like the annoying feature they added where kids ni longer change clothes before going to school. Like really? You want me to micromanage every single child daily or they go to school in underwear? That's when I got REALLY suspicious they just like to mess with us π

You're welcome. This is balanced for my game and game time speed. If it's still too much, I think coolspear has a mod that totally removes some of this annoyances from apartments (like loud noises and neighbors coming after an intriguing smell etc..)

Thanks so much for this...this feature was driving me insane last night as I was trying to play in an apartment for the first time in months. After about the 7th 'guest' in roughly half an hour of game play I realized why I never play in San Myshuno.

This is annoying especially that you can't put your game on the fastest speed when there is a NPC in your house. So when your sim is at work and they come over you have to wait for a long time. Thanks

Those uninvited "guests" just break into my house and do everything they want, this really drives me mad. That's why I like your evil spell, such an effective way to eradicate this annoying problem.
