my sims never get to the corrupted stage. they keep offering souls, like 5 per day (i'm sure they got to 300 points) but they repeatedly get the notification that says "the old gods have heard her call and granted her magical power!" and every so often, unlock spells that are already long unlocked... no corruption or immortality, just going in circles. why might that be?

Depends if it gives the charged outcome or the normal one, the minimum is a couple of hours, the maximum about 3 or 4

I never integrated this with vampire magic, because a consequence of this is the witch becoming a vampire when not fulfilling the old gods requests, Old Gods don't work with vampires... it's kind of a lore thing.

This may be a silly question, but why can't vampires sell other sims souls if they don't have a soul themselves? I was going to use this with my evil vampire witch originally, didn't realise it wouldn't work

There is a Discord (link in the main posts) for non patrons, it's kind of hard to find because I can't put a big red button to it (I can pin posts for Patrons only so it's pretty useless stuff)... I'm not familiar with the mod, I stopped looking at other modders work a while ago because I can't be arsed going around to update them, it's faster to make and update them.

Anyway! I'm commenting because I freaking love the concept behind this mod and have downloaded it, but I am wondering if you're familiar with Nyx's aka Neil's Dark Angel mod. If not, I have the link for you so you can take a look at it. Reason I am bringing it up is because they are actually very similar. Your Sim basically works for the Grim Reaper rather than the Ancient Gods.

That's more likely Maxis bug... the Butler is supposed to stay, even when you change household, but it's not always the case. The skeleton butler uses the same system as maxis, and carries the same problems as maxis butler.

If one of your vampires dies unintentionally from sun exposure and then another vampire is given the option to summon a skeleton butler, does the butler go away after not killing anyone else? Mine disappeared after a time and I couldn't find him anymore recently...is that from Snowy Escapes or something else on my part?

Xml injector, there is an interaction on the phone, or on the mailbox. Click that. If the interactions are not there, that's the reason mine is not there either.

Ok so i tried Buydebug but there is literally everything but wierd tome and about that injector i don't know if you mean spellbook injector or XML injector and i don't know how exactly i'm supposed to check on that but i think it's fine

you may be able to find it in the buydebug but check the injector first, otherwise no option will appear anyway.

It doesn't give a notification, after a bit you can stop (like an hour or so) the weird tome has it's own interaction it's not in the books list and you need to be in the home lot (I specify this because someone tried to buy it in the Magic Realm)

how long am i supposed to read The Call of Cthulu? Because i read it for over a week in sims time and still no option to buy a Wierd Tome. Please help

yup... it wears off after a bit, and yeah... that's intended behaviour (your sim is possessed, can only harvest for souls)

hi :) i love this mod! is the reaperify possession supposed to wear off on its own? because so far while she's possessed, i can't click my sim. is that supposed to happen?

They don't need to finish it, just read it long enough to unlock a hidden traits (30 minutes in game should be enough). Once they get the hidden trait, the option to buy the Necronomicon will show up in the bookcase (in the home lot)

I'd like to say that I like this mod a lot, but I the furthest I've come so far is buying Call of Cthulu. That book has no progress bar for some reason, and no matter how long I let my sims read it, they never finish. I also tried to find the Weird Tome through build and buy mode cheats, but it doesn't show up there. Any idea how to fix this bug?

If you try to do a offering now, they will get turned into a Vampire. You may have a old version of the untamed magic mod, this problem was happening because they changed the function for death after university. Did you update that mod?

The other day I tried this: bought and read the Cthulhu book, bought and read the Necronomicon book, Deadly ZipZapped Tom Peeping's ass outside my window, and after Grim came and did his thing and left I offered Toms soul to the Old Gods to get it started, offered blood a few times. Then a few sim hours later said sim for this was in the magic realm and I noticed the "The gods are watching me" tense moodlet saying I needed to make another sacrifice or will lose connection. With no dead bodies around I had to think quick. So to create a sacrifice I Deadly Chillo'd some random spellcaster and she dropped dead (sort of). Something went glitchy as it took Grim 7+ sim hours to stand there and eventually come claim the body and create an urn. The offering option never showed up on said urn and by this point the "gods watching" moodlet had gone away by this point. I took that urn home and tried again from there and it still didn't work on that urn. Then I realized the sim I killed wasn't registered as actually dead in the game so I assume the deadly untamed spells mod glitched something in that regard. Point is this sim cant get the offerings option to come back so did she lose it forever from failing to get in an offering in time or is there a way to reset and try again or is she just screwed and need to try again with another sim?

I'm having an issue where I offered a soul and received a notification that my sim angered the Old Gods and is no longer a spellcaster. How can I regain favor?

The cooldown depends on a buff, removing the buff will unlock the option. Are you using Sacrificial mods by any means? It seems this mod conflict with one of his mods but I'm not sure which one.

I'm having an issue where I'll have recently made a sacrifice to the old gods, but I'm still getting the warning that they're watching. I can't resolve the warning because the sacrifice option is on cooldown.

Oh i can give commands but how can i turn my sim into normal sim.I can't change his clothes or anything only reap sould.

Reaparify is not working. When i try it my sims eyes turn into red and they are floating but i can't give them any command!

the genetic changes are due to spellcasters being broken in game right now... I'll test this problem but just to know... do you happen to have a mod by Sacrificial that touches the tombstone (I don't remember the name) because it seems to conflict with this one.

that's pretty much what happens when you cheat all spells unlock.. I assume the mod you're talking about is calling that command.

This mod is awesome and I'm really looking forward to any planned updates. I have found a bug/exploit when used in conjunction with the Tome of the Fourth Sage mod - when using this other mod to give oneself all spells, it also adds the spells from this mod when activated (cheating the Dark Gods of souls)! Clicking on an urn after doing this gave me two instances of "Offer Soul for Magic Power". FYI I also had Forbidden spells installed Fourth Sage did not affect these - I still had to earn them.

I'm having a similar problem to someone else, the god only get angry whenever I offer a soul now. My sim loses their Spellcaster abilities and is turned into a vampire. I was able to spawn a skeleton servant, but nothing else has happened. Also when my Spellcaster abilities are removed my Sim loses her hair, but that could just be because it's CC. Her CC eyes are removed too...

Hey Zero! I love your mods, very impressive :) I have a problem with Spellbook Injector and I just wanted to see if you might know anything about it. When I add Spellbook Injector to my Mods folder and load the game I immediately get LE about the invalid tuning for all custom spells, Black Magic and Vampire ones as well. I went looking to the Modthesims page comments and evidently some people who play on Macs get this pathing issue. Here is the LE I get: [manus] Exception in ._tuning_loaded_callback. Hey Zer0, my mage is exhaustively reading the Nechr..Weird Tome... but nothing happens at all :-( the spells are already on the book... can´t learn them though. Any idea? any possible conflict with other deadly spells mods? both injector modes are up to date ..

Test the injector from the phone, if there is no test option, the injector isn't working. Also be sure to be in your home lot.

Try another urn... Sometimes the options don't show in some urns for an unknown reason I've yet to figure out (I think it has to do with the stored sim and if he's loaded by the game or not, summoning the ghost sometimes fixes it)

i read the call of cthulhu, but there is no buy strange tome option! what happened? why isn't it working? Are their any mods I should know of that would cause conflicts? I don't understand why it is not working

hi zero! when i try to do any interactions with the tombstone/urn it doesn’t work but it worked to read the books. how can i fix this?

Nope not normal. I'm currently testing things out to see what's wrong with it... See to depend on the tombstone, but I can't pinpoint why.

I love this mod, but would it be possible to make vampires use this variant and become wild witches? for now, it says that my vamp cannot because they are a vampire

Also I just went and chose something easy to notice, your RL divorce thing and that works and it also requires the XML thing so.. I think that rules out that possibility but , asside from the conjuring mod no other mods clashes with it regarding your magic stuff so this seem like a dumb problem @@ I really love what the black magic mod offers

It way simpler than that... it's in every bookcase in game. There is the option "purchase weird tome"... if it doesn't show, you don't have the injector or it's outdated.

Hi I love your amazing work so far 90% of my mods are yours and they are enjoyable, although regarding this mod specifically I don't know if its just me or if others also have it but at first i could not find the book that u need to read first and i found that , cause i thought it had to be in realms and afterwards I cannot find the weird tome thing to read so i was just wondering if it suppose to be somewhat hidden within ROM am i just mis looking it or what cause I am not sure if its my mod that buggy or just me missing something again.

Ok, so you need to Offer 12 Souls in order to get the Corrupted Spellcaster, I did my math wrong. One question tho, do the points have a timing? I mean, do they go down if I don't offer souls in a period of time? Or if I have like 100 points it sticks in 100 until I offer more souls and then go up?

1) every soul gives 25 points now, with a max score of 300... blood offering gives some points too. You get corrupted at 300 points. 2) yes, I wanted it to be this way... like they don't even realize until it's too late. 3) sadly, it's the only way to spawn the butler apparently, the spawn skeleton uses a different type of interaction... I tried to make it work with the spawn skeleton function but it's not supported. the LE comes from a buff from Flerb's Tan Mod according to the file, but it's not said it's that mod the cause.

Tested the mod and everything works as expected. Three questions. 1) How many times my sim has to "Offer souls" to get Corrupted? Does the "Collect souls" interaction count on that? 2) Is it normal that Sims that are about to get his soul collected don't stop or face the Reaper Sim? I tried to do it with some NPC walking on the sidewalk and they didn't even stop until they die. 3) Is it normal that the Butler spawns almost a day after is called and far from the lot? My game threw a little LE but I'm pretty sure is has nothing to do with this mod. Same problem that there was with the offering soul... I'll update later... The interaction sends the stat too up.

"Drain soul" and "Collect soul" don't do anything for me. I get the spellcaster xp, but the animation resets and nothing else happens.

Ok, just to answer myself. The "Offer soul" missing option seems to be an isolated bug. Only happens oin my main save file. What I actually can't do is "offer a soul" because everytime my Sim does it, the animation resets.

Ok,, I found a bug. When I install this mod, I made one sim read the 2 bugs. That sim now had the option to "Offer a soul", and after used, the option is greyed out as it has to be. Then, my Sim could "Offer his own blood". Eveything was ok (even though, a worshipper trait never was listed). After that, I'm not sure what happened. Both options just disappeared from the tombstone pie menu. Then, when I tried with another specllcaster, the only option available from the mod was the "Offer soul for Magic Power" which is greyed oout because the Sim is already a spellcaster. I have tons of mods, but the only one that could actually interfere someway is, maybe, the mortem mod from Sim Realist.

Hello! I found an issue. When I "Offer to the Old Gods" my sim gets on his knees, pray, I click yes to remove the spirit and then the animation cancels. I tried the Offer own blood and that works, but I think it only gives a bit of XP.

They don't stop reading the book. You need to make them stop. I didn't even want to tell you how to unlock the option, I'm not maxis who puts everything easily on reach. This is secret magic. If it gives the glimmerstone then it giver the power too... The glimmerstone is given when the witch xp is given... For some reason the game is failing from giving your sim the witch trait but the loot is working if it gets to the glimmerstone part

That's the skeleton butler part of the mod giving the Le... Before anything else please try to redownload it... There was a missing file in the last version.

For some reason they keep reading the book and dont stop reading them. And when they offer blood it gives them a glimmerstone but no powers and never lets them give blood or sacrifice after that.

I'm getting mcc errors as soon as I load a household. Power idea: Summon and command /and or turn somebody into a Night Wraith (From the night wraith curse) to do your bidding and assist you in gathering souls to sacrafice in the name of the Old Gods.

After I offered the first soul every time I tried to offer another it made my sim stop being a Spellcaster ... why does that happen?

You can use them together, i did this on purpose... it will slow down the progress even more.

So I've been trying it out today and couldn't make it work with my vampire sim. Everything worked just fine until the offering part. I don't know if it is supposed to be like that, since the sim is a vampire. But I found out that if you turn the vampire to human (MCCC), offer the soul to the gods, and then turn the sim back to being a vampire it works just fine. Thank you for this mod, it looks awesome.

Nope. You can only be a wild witch if the old gods gifted you magic. But the purify spell can be learned by everyone. Corrupted sims cannot cast it though.

It's working. I think what's broken is adding spells to Sages and tomes to the market... These spells have no tome can't be taught by sages
