Melee Weapon (Martial, Twin Longswords), Rare , Requires Attunement (See Special Attunement note)
Damage: 1d8
Damage Type: Slashing
Properties: Versatile
“Fashioned by priests of a god of law and order, these blades were created specifically for a trial by combat. The enchantments on these blades are said to equalize the abilities of the two combatants, to better allow the hand of their god to guide the just and fell the wicked.”
Special Attunement - These swords function as normal longswords until two creatures attune to the swords separately. Attunement to these swords takes only 1 minute.
The Great Equalizer - While attuned to these swords, all of your Attribute Scores are set to 10 and you lose access to all class abilities. Additionally, your Hit Point Maximum is set to 50 and you lose any damage immunities, resistances, and vulnerabilities. After breaking attunement to the sword, all of your original statistics and abilities are reset to what they were before.
Death Sentence - Each turn you are in combat with these blades, they gain a cumulative +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls, capping at a +10. A creature killed by one of these blades cannot be revived by any means.
No Escaping Judgement - The two swords are connected by a tether of energy that is intangible and can stretch up to 30 ft. If a person attuned to one of the blades attempts to move more than 30 ft from the opposite blade (while wielding theirs or not), they take 5d10 Psychic damage per turn that they are not within 30 ft. of the blade.
