The mighty Ashen Lord's cavernous maw yawns before the altar.

Surely, sacrifices of this size would never satisfy the dragon's hunger.
But there seemed to be an unspoken 'knowing'. An agreement.
This wasn't about hunger. It was about the desire to appease the Ashen Lord.
With each exhale, the slick muscles of the dragon's eager gullet expand and contract.
Hot breath washes over the unfortunate sacrifice that teeters just over the edge.
It would be a long way down...
