Looking for species and/or aesthetic suggestions for a new character!

Looking to see if something can jog my inspiration here.
As I continue to expand the “sci-fi” universe that Hyde and Spit inhabit, I’m looking at their squadron, rivals, and motives.
I’d like to (over time) flesh things out & add some new faces to create comradery, test patience, piss each other off, etc.
For some years I’ve been thinking of making a (trans-femme) lady character but like a lot of other personal art ideas, never really got things off the ground.
Anyone have suggestions for a species? Doesn’t need to be a mammal. Im open to fantasy species, hybrid races, etc.
Also looking to see if anyone has ideas for aesthetics or color schemes? Maybe a vaporwave or cyberpunk theme for an outfit?

I agree 100%! I’d love to have an obligate herbivore. Bulls and bucks are on the mind especially. Thank you for the suggestion - I can really take a while to get around to personal work but it’s certainly noted!

Have you ever considered adding a herbivore pred? These something about that contrast which I love… Perhaps a bull, or a Hare… I dunno.

Wait! Clownfish!! I meant clownfish hahah! While goldfish also exhibit sexual dimorphism, they typically are born female and some become male as they mature, perpetuating the species. Clownfish are born male and become female as needed to perpetuate their species. Point still stands though, a hermaphroditic or a trans fish character would be really cool!

I’m not sure how wild I’ll get xD but I do love me some species that are a little left field. All things considered if I end up leaning on a mammal, I may borrow some aquatic or insectoid elements for her outfit and/or gear!

See if you wanna get wild I would say some sort of insect? Like a mantis or maybe a moth? Some with like cool colors if you are going sci-fi. Feel like cyberpunk would be warmer colors.

I would definitely agree with a crocodile or alligator. Or some kind of lizard. I think they work well with this concept. :>

An anthropomorphic goldfish is both intimidating and fascinating to me. I may have to give this a go xD also did not know that bit about goldfish...super cool!

I think a cool Neutral/ natural color scheme with some pops of vapor wave colors, like purples, yellows, blues, etc. for accents would be really cool! And tbh I’ve always wanted to see a sergal drawn in your style!

I feel like a rough and tumble trans-femme goldfish character would be great since in real life, goldfish are known to change sex if there isn’t a female present in the group.

A trans hyena/gnoll would be amazing. Especially with the unique clits that hyenas have. And I'm picturing a sleeveless biker jacket done in a vaporware color scheme.
