I restarted as well, also I know you said the x512 is "buggy" , but for me its not just buggy, but textures missing and lines in the water

My blocks of bamboo have a purple and black checkered visual error on the top of the blocks on x256

Most pictures on website is for java. I suggest you give that a try. You have access to both java and bedrock

if you have bedrock minecraft, just run it. it should auto import into the game
