Trap Online Chapter 247: The Right type of place to Look
🕑 Added 2025-02-09 10:48:24 +0000 UTCAfter a silent meal, I was getting into the pod, looking forward to what was to come. It was time to play with the group and work on this sewer quest. I might not want to be digging through the sewers with them, but I could help with the inn.
As I woke up, I decided that working in the early morning was better than working at night. I felt everyone around me, and I thought about Iona. I really needed to learn something about her homeland soon. She had not said anything, but it was something that I would have to deal with sooner rather than later. There had been no clues at this point, and she had been loyal this entire time.
The problem was that my mistress was the best person to ask, and she was not very forthcoming. I had no idea when I would see her next or how I would ask her.
No, now it was about who I went to talk to about getting this issue solved. I could go to Lady Yancy and ask about it using my connections there, but that would be using favors that I think this does not deserve. No, I needed to start with the basics and go from there, and that meant going to someone who would likely be in a sewer bar. I winced, thinking about homeless people and all that, but I shook my head.
No, they would not care; they could use their begged coin for drinks at a normal inn. No, a sewer inn was where no normal people went. So you wanted a criminal element with that. It is probably a front for a child like the thieves' guild, so they call it Sewer Bar instead.
Heading out of the house, I was dressed up in my micro skirt, knowing that the type of people I was looking to be with today were not the normal types. In fact, I was leaving a bit early also to avoid the morning sex. It wasn't that I did not want to have fun with the ladies; it was just that I would be doing it all day, and I would rather do it tonight if I was in the mood instead of this morning.
Did not help that Gabby, Li, and Victoria hallowed me out last night.
I headed towards the slums and thought about exactly where I wanted to go. It's not anywhere near the adventurers guild or righteous factions. The demon factions would be willing to deal with the people I want to be around today, but the Righteous would only do so in the background, hiding it from the sun while they act like they are perfect.
No, their shit stunk, but they would hide it an average distance away. Enough to be convenient to access but not close enough to be associated. I thought about it, and I decided to start not far from where I was at for the plague quest. I went to the nearby temples and started to head toward the more unsavory parts that I remember. The poorer areas were where I quickly found exactly what I had been looking for.
The inn looked like it had various whores and men that fit the description of the 'I AM A CRIMINAL' magazine cover. It was rouged with hoods and two daggers there, looking at people like their next victim. There were a couple of bruiser-looking dudes with scars on their faces. The women were not the greatest looking, but they were also not terrible looking, and none looked forced. So I moved forward, walked up to one of the women, and started to scratch at my arms a little and make myself look more pathetic.
"What does a small girl like you do around these parts?" One of the women asked, and I saw some of the men turn to look at me.
"I- Um, Ma'am," I began, my voice low, "I- Um, Can, I, Work the streets here," I said, looking away and ashamed, "Its- ah, Um," I scratched my neck, "Last time, I earned a week at home f- for not asking the girls a couple of streets the other w- way and I um," The woman looked at me up and down, and her vigilance lowered a lot. I was an abused young girl looking to make ends meet. "I, um, washed myself, so, if, I can?"
"You are okay, girl," one of the scarred men said. You can work the streets here. In fact, I know a couple of boys that would like one such as you that these girls can't get the coin out of," he said, and I hated what that meant, but I nodded.
"T-That i- is great, Sir, C- Can you introduce me?" I asked, and the man smiled and nodded.
"Why, of course, I can. How about you follow me? In fact, if you help them enough, I might know a place where you can make ten times what you would make here," he said, his grin changing, and I saw the women around me flinch. Something told me that might just be the lead that I need , or something I would need my team to know where I am, just in case.
I guess I will not be coming alone tomorrow.
