It's a testament to the skillful writing that while it's not unreasonable you'd cheer on Thorfinn punching the farmhand like Einar did - you rather/also feel worry.

The imagery in this episode is so potent! Thorfinn's struggles feel so real. Then his and Einar's wheat farm gets destroyed by those retainers π‘π‘π‘ Love Sverkel taking them under his wing, though and Pater looking out for them is a little bit of wholesomeness in these dark times for these friends.

What a powerful episode!

Ah ! One of my favorite episodes. What a relief it was to eventually see Thorfinn opening up that much to Einar and putting words on how he feels.
